And people fight me when I whine about Apple's trend towards scroll-crazy interfaces that aren't designed to contain as much as possible on one (opening) screen, regardless of device, in order to make the user's job convenient. Every page, app, interface does NOT need to be a visual statement. We want intuitive, convenient function in an interface that happens to look really good, not an art portfolio statement first and foremost.

Jony, After you've designed an interface, website, app, whatever...it's no longer about YOU but the USER.

Edit: Oh, and on the subject of not wanting a Portfolio statement on our devices, this user wants more than just a flat, text-only white-out. Life around us is full of color, detail, and tactile features.

Jony Ive, the most over-hyped Design Genius...if more of Less is better then keep extending out that genius idea…keep removing things and what does that leave?

Unfortunately his time has passed. Apple isn’t the same company it was 10 years ago. Design really isn’t at the forefront anymore. It’s not a place for people like him. Because of that He simply had nothing else left to add to the conversation. Apple has reached a point where every product is a refinement of previous designs. The days of the G4 cube and G4 iMac are gone. I believe the 2019 Mac Pro is his swan song. That product gave us hope for the future of Apple design. I’m still going to buy their products regardless, but it won’t have that special something. Hopefully he can bring that into his new company. It’s a shame Apple left it behind.
