Apple really need to fire Jon Ive. He is well past his sell-by date and plainly needs a change of environment

On a completely random note, I find it interesting that there is an entire generation of Americans (probably multiple generations, and maybe people from elsewhere--not sure how well known that Peanuts cartoon was outside the US) that find this image of a Christmas "tree" so instantly recognizable.
Ive is one of the people at Apple who really holds Steve Jobs's vision of design and simplicity. He's one of the people who really needs to stay at Apple.
"To... create... this Christmas tree, we fundementally... rethought the design of what a tree could be.
By consolidating the branches into an... atypical tree shape, we minimised surface area, without reducing its instrumentality. The branches... sympathetically dance in the anomalous "Magic Snowball" formation.
We also... re-examined its pallete, unanimously agreeing... on the striking, yet subtle... "Unapologetic Beige".
Put simply, it's the best Christmas tree we've ever made."
He should cover it in dongles.

I really expected the thinness to at least match the Samsung Christmas Trees. No wonder year over year Christmas Tree Sales are declining.
