I thought this series deserved at least another chance.

agreed. they let it go for episodes in this season and axed it, which was probably their plan all along. loved this show and it will be missed.

What is wrong with the TV watching public?

I really think that Fox friday nights is the main cause of death for a number of potentially great shows. I just hope that they are able to give us a satisfying end to this story in the remaining few episodes, or that they can find a new home for the show (Buffy-style) or way to put a bow on it (Serenity-style).

The Dollhouse universe is certainly filmable, that's for sure. Maybe even more so than Firefly since the concept is a bigger part of the show than the characters. They could replace everyone and still make a movie in a different house.
