JP Morgan Analyst Expects up to Four New iPhone Models in 2020

That's what I said. It's going to be a little bigger than the SE. Specifically 2.3" wide display (portrait) vs. 2". But it's still going to feel close enough in size to the SE for people to move to it. The X/XS is already the new version of the 4.7" iPhone 8/7/6. It was just slightly bigger. This rumored size matches up with the PPI on the iPhone X and the UI scaling that would need to be done to match that on the SE. I'm giving this a 90% chance of happening.

A financial analyst's claim is like money in the bank, we'll definitely have more models to choose from in 2020. Could this be considered stock sabotage, as it motivates people to wait until 2020 to upgrade with the hope of more choice and better products ...

My own guess is Apple has done their homework and know what they are expecting as far as sales in September. I expect this to be a flat year. The next year is going to be good.

Individual investors are always jittery. It’s the institutional investors that are less jittery.

Yeah, actually, now that I calculated it, the 4.7” iPhone models like the 6s have a 2.3” wide display, and the bezels will be smaller on the sides (maybe even smaller than the current X/XS). The iPhone 6s body is 5.44” tall by 2.64” wide. The display on the 5.4”, as I mentioned in an earlier post, is 4.9” tall by 2.3” wide. So they could probably make this thing 5-5.1” tall by 2.4-2.5” wide, making it slightly less wide than the iPhone 6-8 family and quite noticeably shorter. It’s funny, because I remember speculating and making mockups based on something very similar to this for the rumored iPhone X several years ago.
