Only thing worse will be cameras

Touch ID on side will be far more convenient in day to day usage certainly on a table

The fold will be a better phone than the regular iPhone pro. Better multitasking, better usability and everything will be a better experience because you are seeing more and doing more
You're very confused, and coping hard. It will be the worst iPhone, and the worst iPad, all in one, for $2k.

It is like an iPad mini unfolded. But you seem to keep ignoring that.
I'm not ignoring anything. It will be close to the size of an iPad mini. Close. Not completely. And it won't have the battery capacity of an iPad mini. The iPad mini is already too small to be used as a tablet, it can only be used as a large phone. That might be nice for some occasional things, but it doesn't justify carrying around a worse phone all the time (no Face ID, no pro cameras, weird short and fat size and aspect ratio), and it certainly doesn't justify paying more than what a better iPhone AND a better iPad would cost.

nope i'm being very clear. it will be better device aside from cameras thats about it. and no it won't be a worse ipad. it will be the best ipad at this size without a doubt. it will have features only a foldable device can have for one. it will run 120hz which the mini doesn't and have

you don't seem to have much understanding of the benefits of foldable tech. slab phones aside from camera tech very much are a limited product due to the size usability. chances are the iphone slab phone won't have any level of multitasking not like android where all the features are similar. apple will make sure not all features will transfer across.

aside from camera tech where the fold will have 2 cameras and the pro will have 3 there will be no real differences.

Face ID isn't any better than touch ID. it's a different way to open your device thats it. it's also pointless when lying flat on a table or side of a sofa. you shouldn't have to always pick you device up to check something quickly

aspect ratio it will be like a passport so will be more than big enough due to being wider than normal phones and like an ipad mini when opened. there's a reason many liked the pixel fold and why many didn't open it as much due to how useable it was when closed.

and the camera quailty in the iphones is hardly amazing. there's a reason i only use my vivo phone for cameras even with a pro max in my pocket. the processing isn't strong enough.

Option - they could just move their iCloud calendars to GCal. Rather than 'sharing' them. It would be easy enough and works just as well with Apple Calendar apps etc. Also, sharing them to gCal does not make them 'public' - but if they are concerned they could just move them.

They are not willing to switch to GCal as I mentioned. Also, sharing them to GCal absolutely positively makes them public. Yes, they're attached to a 'unique' URL but they are available to anyone who has the URL or guesses it. And once you know the format, it's not all that difficult to just start playing around to find actual calendars being shared in the wild.

From my understanding the url is not something that could be just guessed. Maybe hacked or brute forced. But yes - better to just move if security is of utmost concrn. You might try to convince them by noting that gcal is actually the gold standard for calendars, even for apple devices. Just an idea.
