Congrats to everyone hitting their goals. There are a lot of hard-working folks on here!

I'm not going to hit my July Activity Challenge to run/walk 314.2 miles. I've hit my 1,000 daily move goal every day and recorded 2,523 minutes of exercise (Avg 92), but I had a few aches and pains, and I replaced too many runs with cycling or rowing. It's good for my overall fitness, but it wasn't conducive for meeting Apple's narrow challenge this month.

My primary goal at the moment is to keep my Move goal streak alive. It's currently at 45 days, and my record is 70. I can conceivably keep it alive until the last couple of days before my marathon (Sept. 8). The day before a marathon, I run a couple of miles in the morning and then conspire to sit on my butt for the rest of the day. That's not going to get me to 1000 calories.

I'm hoping that August's challenge will be to close my Move ring 31 times!

Yours is a very refreshing post.

It's important to be realistic about exercise goals — and sometimes, Apple's AI-generated goals just aren't realistic. The fact that you've decided not to risk injury to meet this month's goal is the sign of a well mind and body. Wishing you all the best in that marathon!

Made it with a couple of days to spare. Really didn’t think I was going to achieve this months, by far the hardest one this year.

Way to go everybody! I’m stoked to see so many people crushing their challenges. I wasn’t going to go for mine during the first week, I thought it was too much and I was recovering from a very active June. After that week, I did the math, and decided if I really pushed myself, I could still beat July’s challenge. Well today I hit my goal of 49,500 calories! I even lost a few pounds of weight in the process. Now, Apple, please have mercy on me for August!!!

Total fail in the last week. I needed 31,000 cals for the month, was ahead after 23 days but then it all went pear-shaped when I pulled a muscle in my leg again. First I lost the Perfect Month badge then I gave up on the Monthly Challenge - first one I've lost. :-( This month I have to double the move goal 5 times. Doubt I'll do that either, oh well.

Ok, despite my commitment to step it up, I never got on track, and ended up with an epic fail for July.

August is 6 days closing all three rings. My personal goal is to double this.
