Jun 8th buyers still with "not yet shipped" come in...

In Florida here, still "Not Yet Shipped." Been checking like crazy too, just to see if I'm even "Prepared for Shipment." I have faith in Apple to deliver my iPhone by Friday though!
I ordered on the 8th, right after the announcement (about 1:30pm). Located in NYC. Yesterday it said "prepared for shipment." Today that notification is gone and it says "not yet shipped."
I'll be nervous if nothing changes by Wednesday.

I just checked iTunes and it says there is no update available. I'm starting to worry it won't be there by Wednesday....

I agree with Knoxville3G. It's a phone, apple says you'll get it by Friday. Why is everyone so worried if its just officially tuesday morning. You placed an order, you'll be fine. Everyone is following this minute by minute. For all you know, they'll ship it thursday, its not worth to stress over.

19th or at least the 18th Apple said they will deliver. they turn everthing over to Fedex to handle and you can bet they get a very good shipping discount. but Apple and Fedex will decide how to ship it. Apple does not want units recived before the 19th. they are very strict on that fedex might deliver a handful on the 18th but I guarantee Fedex will be busy on Friday. you might not get your tracking till the 18th chill. NO I don't have mine either says prepared for shipment. other then that in 5 days if I don't have it I will call Apple

Hmm, interesting. I ordered at 12:19PST on Monday, and still 'Not yet Shipped,' yet magically in the last couple hours it has changed from standard shipping to priority.
The date still shows shipping on the 19th, but now arriving the 22nd rather than the 24th.
Probably a good sign, but still a bit weird, especially after the 'assurance' email.

Serious man tears going on in here. At this point if you don't get it when apple says your getting it, it's on fedex. They are usually very good.
Umm yeah I agree with you guys lol. Some people on here are pretty pathetic with how worked up they get about this stuff. I mean come on; people are seriously checking their credit cards for held charges and constantly checking to see if the little Order Status page has changed from "Not Yet Shipped" to "Prepared to Ship"
Just wait til you get an e-mail with a tracking number. Sitting here and obsessively checking all kinds of little details and investigating shipping methods is not going to change anything with your status.
I'm in the same boat- ordered on June 8th at 5PM EST. Currently listed as "Not Yet Shipped", but shipping method was switched to 'Priority' at some point yesterday. It'll be here Friday. My current working theory is that there are a bunch already in the U.S. from an initial shipment that are sitting in warehouses. So they don't need to be shipped until Wed. or Thurs..

My 16 GB white ordered on the 8th is still not yet shipped. My 32GB black was shipped and I have a tracking number. Like previous person suggested, maybe some are already here and they'll ship them on Wed/Thur to get to us on Fri.

Everyone relax - it's only Tuesday morning, your phone will get to you. Keep in mind that:
- Not everything ships on at once. Ever. Doesn't mean it won't show up on the right day. For 99% of us, it will.
- Apple & AT&T are both large corporations, probably with multiple shipping partners, multiple warehouse locations, and multiple product SKU's in this case. Not everything is shipping from the same place or necessarily coming via the same shipping company.
- I live in NYC. Major shipping hub. Things get here very fast - I can't tell you how many times I've ordered from Amazon with the slowest shipping and gotten my order two or three days later, even when it's being shipped from East Nowheresville, Kansas.
- If Apple is shipping from a location near you, they're not going to ship it just yet. It might get to you before the 19th, which means you would try to activate it, and undoubtedly AT&T is not ready for the 3GS. Their network asplode if you try to use it before Friday.
