Jun 8th buyers still with "not yet shipped" come in...

I'm in the Twin Cities, MN. Ordered on the 9th. Credit card had the temp charge immediately after I ordered. Current status is Not Shipped.
 
Ordered on the 9th through AT&T Premier to just outside of DC and no luck yet. None of you non-premier's should be worried since you were all guaranteed on the 19th. Nobody knows when the phones will arrive if you ordered through Premier.
 
I ordered my 32 gig white on Jun 11th. Card was charged almost immediately. The money got put back in my account and there are no outstanding authorizations. Order status is prepared for shipment and has been since Saturday. My buddy ordered the same day, same phone about an hour later shipping to the same address where we work (Maryland). He has a tracking number with a scheduled delivery of 6/17.

Yes, I was being lighthearted. But, it does feel good to whine with all the others about our sad life without the 3Gs!

My life totally blows, though. Order status still says not yet shipped. I'm about to go unhinged. My fingertips are sore from checking the order status every 5 minutes. When will it stop? I want my life back, Apple. Send my phone now or else, I'll get even more upset.

Joking aside, I really would like to get the phone on Friday. Daughter leaves Friday afternoon for school and wants the old phone so this is making things awkward....

Awkward how... because you feel it might not come by Friday? Apple has done nothing against their guarantee right now. If Friday comes and you do not get a phone, then we all can go to their corporations with pitchforks and torches and "Troy" that place!

  1. Not everything ships on at once. Ever. Doesn't mean it won't show up on the right day. For 99% of us, it will.
  2. Apple & AT&T are both large corporations, probably with multiple shipping partners, multiple warehouse locations, and multiple product SKU's in this case. Not everything is shipping from the same place or necessarily coming via the same shipping company.
  3. I live in NYC. Major shipping hub. Things get here very fast - I can't tell you how many times I've ordered from Amazon with the slowest shipping and gotten my order two or three days later, even when it's being shipped from East Nowheresville, Kansas.
  4. If Apple is shipping from a location near you, they're not going to ship it just yet. It might get to you before the 19th, which means you would try to activate it, and undoubtedly AT&T is not ready for the 3GS. Their network asplode if you try to use it before Friday. ;)

That may be so, but the main thing we are worried about here is that we ordered on June 8, the first day it was available for sale, and people who ordered later in the week, such as Saturday, have been prepared for shipping. I was thinking that they would obviously go by location, but would ship for the ones that ordered first like on Monday, Tuesday and even Wednesday. There would have been enough to start segregating the orders by area and providing tracking #'s for the first orders before the people that ordered on Saturday.
 
Ordered 16gb White on the 10th. Nothing. Northwest Indiana.

I have a friend (EDIT: who lives about 20 minutes fro me) who ordered a 32gb Black on the 11th and he already has a working shipping number.

I'm considering taking time off work and getting non-stop drunk until Friday just to make the time pass faster.
 
I completely agree that those who ordered in time WILL receive their 3G-S on Friday as promised. We're talking tens of thousands of iPhones to be delivered on one specific day. I'm sure Apple/FedEx/UPS will have their game together. However, if there are those of you who ordered and were told "delivers by June 19th" and don't get your phone....yes, you have a right to be pissed.

As of right now, I'm betting my iPhone is already in the US sitting in a warehouse with many others' on here and will be sent overnight on Thursday and be delivered Friday. Even if it's in China, I've had an iMac make it from China to Knoxville, TN in 2 days. It IS still possible folks!!!!

Here's to 3G-S launch day! :)

Once you go :apple:, your bank account is never the same again.

I mean come on; people are seriously checking their credit cards for held charges and constantly checking to see if the little Order Status page has changed from "Not Yet Shipped" to "Prepared to Ship"

Just wait til you get an e-mail with a tracking number. Sitting here and obsessively checking all kinds of little details and investigating shipping methods is not going to change anything with your status.

I am not going to "agree" with anyone here but people will do what they want and no one can change it. If you dont like it, great, but keep it to yourself, if you start posting it, it doesn't do anything. People will do what they want and worry about what they want. Everyone is different....

By the way, I ordered mine on the 8th and it hasnt shipped but it has also recently changed to priority shipping.

Same boat, Twin Cities MN. Ordered one on the 8th, one on the 9th, 12 hours apart, both Not Yet Shipped.
 
just switch to prepared for shipment. I am seeing a light of hope. We will be fine.
 
Ordered mine on the 8th and it just now switched to "prepared to ship."

How exciting. Now I anxiously await a tracking number. What will I do when the thing comes and I have nothing useless to agonize over anymore? haha
 
The one I ordered on the 8th is still "Not Yet Shipped", but the one I ordered on the 9th just changed to "Prepared". Hopefully the one I ordered first switches also!

I guess prepared to ship is nice lol....but i've had that status since friday night and no changes since then >.< oh well =P
