June deliveries, share your pain and suffering here.

I only ordered mine on Sunday evening. 42mm SG Sport. Wanted to try it on before i ordered and that was the quickest i could get to an Apple store. Glad i did as i was thinking i would get a 38mm, but its tiny!

Still showing as June delivery, but i suspect ill probably be getting it sometime in the evening of June 30th... Hah.
 
It's hard to believe that shipping estimates are still June, 12 days after preorder

What are your opinions on the shipping estimates on Apple's website? It's really hard to believe that the most popular models slipped to June so fast and have stayed there for 12 days since preorder.

Apple bumped it to June quickly while they assessed the situation. Rather than bump it back to a May time frame they will deliver the earlier orders with the June data ahead of time to applause and high praise. Those ordering now probably will actually get it in June, or maybe even earlier but I don't seem them going back to earlier dates after going to June so fast. Set expectations low, then deliver early = happy in the end.

Some of the watches have even further out ship dates. The one i ordered the Space Black 42mm which i got a 5/13-5-27 now has in july ship dates. Glad i ordered when i did.
 
Umm its still befor launch day? Check back 12 days after watches are in people's hands- no way for them to meet up with demand before anyone even has it

Same here,I ordered mine yesterday. Got the 42MM SG Sport as well with AppleCare. I have a June ship date but I have been charged for the AppleCare already.

I ordered on the 10th but I went to my try on appointment first before I ordered. I am glad I did. All along I thought I was going to get a 42'mm stainless steel with a leather band, but I was unsure which leather. Tried the sport watches also and didn't like them so I finally decided on ss version with a medium black leather loop. The sizing was better then the classic buckle and large loop. Glad I tried it on or I would of ordered the wrong band. So I did what Apple suggested to do and for that my reward I have to wait til June. I couldn't understand why the couldn't have try on appointment for the first week and the 17th starts pre order. Oh well, I am ok to wait till June. My wife and I are going away for our 20 Anniversary at the end of May, so she is happy that my watch won't be here till June and that I will spend time with her instead of playing with my new electronic device.

June order update changes?

Hi,

Has anyone seen any order updates from "Available to Ship: June" yet?

The model I pre-ordered is the Sport 42mm SG with Black Band

Nope, no change.

My confirmation email was 01:06am, six minutes after the store opened and I'm sitting at June for the 42mm SS SB. I don't expect any update till after the first batch of Space Black get shipped in Mid May.

I'm not very happy that arguably the flagship plebeian watch, the Space Black is in such limited supply and won't have an April 24th release. I would have much rather had the overall watch release in June. That way folks who wanted a Sport or regular SS watch could have still been able to order a launch day device in the morning and they would have had enough stock of the SB to fill the fanboy launch day preorders within the first 30min to hour.

As it is now, some of the most loyal and dedicated Apple fans wanting the best SS watch are sitting in the sidelines for at least two weeks waiting on the Space Black. When folks like Rene Ritchie of iMore aren't getting launch day watches then that seems like a problem for Apple. This launch feels a little like the maps debacle. Released too soon.

Cause I cancelled my first order. And started a new one from scratch I am stuck with June also. I would like a little bit more of an update at some. Like a date range. June 1-15. Or something. For all I know at this point. It could be the beginning of June. Or the last day in June.
 
Well, I'm pretty sure there was an article on the main MR site about how Apple didn't want to over-promise delivery and have to delay it.

From a business standpoint, I can see their logic somewhat: Tell a customer June delivery, and they'll be delighted when they receive it in mid-May. Compared to, "promise a May delivery and don't deliver until June."
 
I think the earlier people who got June will see them Mid May or earlier. I don't expect any movement until this initial wave is done though. It hasn't even been released yet. :D

This is my thinking as well. Around Memorial week hopefully I will see some type of movement with my order. If it's June though I'm okay with that too.
 
Ok, I was still unsure which model I wanted at pre order time and decided to wait till I had a try on before I ordered. I ended up ordering a 42mm SS with white sport band on 12/4 here in Australia and obviously got a 'June' shipping date as expected.....however I just checked my order status and it was just changed from 'processing' to 'preparing for shipment'!!! I'm trying to not get to excited, but does that mean I may get it MUCH earlier than June!?
 
one nice thing about being in te late to lunch line is I ended up getting the watch and accessories.
We planned a last minute get away to Vegas with the understanding not taking the cash out of savings or the hawaii fund. This left the slush fund a little dry, the extra wait was welcomed. I cancelled the space gray and went with the SS with the leather band/buckle, acouple of bands, 2m charger and and extra 1m charger.

I think u might be spot on there! I'm in Australia and didn't order til 48 hrs after preorders started and immediately got a June date.....well I just checked my order and it's literally just been changed to 'preparing for shipment' already!!!!! I ordered a 42mm SS with white sport band.
 
June... Preparing to Ship.

So... okay. What the heck? My partners watch which I ordered late (intentionally; didn't want him to use his before me :eek:) was scheduled to ship in June... But it is now preparing to ship. Anyone else?

I just checked my bank account, and sure enough Apple charged me for my wife's 38mm Sport with the blue band. I ordered it on the 17th with June shipping! I'm now both excited and depressed, since she'll likely have her's way before I get my SS model.
 
It's happening! I have 3 watches ordered, one white 38, one black 38, and a black 42. I was charged $387 on my card, so one of the 38's must be shipping.

This is the model that they're offering to developers by the 28th - I guess they just happened to have extra stock for this model? In any case this is good news for everyone with delayed shipping dates, since it supports the notion that if they have supply of your model they'll ship it to you regardless of the original estimate.
