So... okay. What the heck? My partners watch which I ordered late (intentionally; didn't want him to use his before me) was scheduled to ship in June... But it is now preparing to ship. Anyone else?

He wasn't convinced about the Watch to start with so meh.
My assistant ordered a 42 Sport with the green band. It was ordered on April 12, and was designated as having a June delivery date. But just now, he was notified his card was charged and his order now says Preparing for Shipment. He might get his on Friday.
I ordered mine yesterday (4/21) and I am hoping it'll ship before then! 42mm Space Gray with Black Sports Band
I ordered a 42mm Sport with White Band. Mine has also changed to Preparing for Shipment. However it still said "Available to ship - June". So I'm totally confused hope this is not a mistake by Apple to get our hopes up.
I did check my credit card available balance and it looks like it has been charged as it has decreased by approximately the cost of the Watch. However, the charge hasn't actually shown up yet.
Crossing my fingers we'll get it within the next couple weeks.

You think? How many people didn't order on April 10, but did pre-order by April 14? I'm guessing that the huge spike in orders happened on April 10 and that pre-orders are only trickling in now. Most folks (except for the passionate early adopters who ordered on April 10) will need to see the watch in the wild before they will order it is my guess. If the pre-order estimates of 2 to 3 million from April 10 are right, I doubt Apple is sitting on another couple of million of orders right now on top of that.
Now by the end of April, once many folks have seen the watch in person and heard from a friend that they like the watch, then I could see ordering picking up again. I'm glad I'm in before that rush. I'm also glad I went to see the watches because based on pictures I would have ordered a different one from the one I ordered. (I might have gone Space Grey, or SS with Classic Buckle, instead I went SS with Sport band. SS was much better looking to me so, Space Grey and Sport became, basically, non-options once I saw the watches in person. Not that they don't look nice, but the SS looks very nice and I wear a suit to work, so I have to factor that in.)

I ordered the same thing and we probably won't see those for a couple of weeks, but it would be a pleasant surprise if it happened sooner. Looks like Apple is slowly, but surely moving orders.
Sorry but what do you expect?? There's people like me who have April 24 date with no change...
