Im curious guys (and gals)...what do you use to change the Dock icons? Ive just started to fool around with Geektool, and I thought that was used to change the dock icons as well, but I guess Im wrong. Thanks for the info!

I second this question. I was doing some research last night on how to change the Windows HD (partition) icon on my desktop but failed at that also (I'm usually pretty good at searching). Is there a source that is all-encompassing?

Google 'CandyBar', it's free.

Mine for the month. I've been going with my little kitty, I like a bit of green on my desktop.

I'm trying to use these, but when I go to "get info" the icon doesn't show up in the top left corner. Am I the only one having this problem?

please just download CandyBar, its a full free trial and you will be able to use all the features.
and change every single icon you have.

That made me laugh quite hard. I'm totally adapting it for my own use! :D

How do you like Windows 7, btw?

Yeah I laughed hard myself when I first saw it. As for Windows 7 I am honestly impressed. So impressed that I will be running it on boot camp along with Snow Leopard when they are both out, primarily for gaming. It's everything Vista should have been and the RC isn't buggy at all, just a few compatibility problems concerning anti virus software. I am honestly impressed by it so far.

I believe that it is limited to 200 icons in the trial version... I have only a few icon sets, and easily have over 400... If that gives you perspective...

Right. That's what I was trying to convey was that candybar isn't free and it is limited so anyone saying CB is free isn't exactly correct.

wait so what's the difference between the two? is it that you can only change 200 icons in the trial? i've always been so confused so i just bought it but if someone could clarify what the retail version can do that the trial version cannot. thanks

Vicious

the free trial is a full feature program and you can use it to change you icons and dock, im not sure if its limited to time or how many times you can change your icons/docks. i have been using mine for a long time and its worth buying it.
correct me if im wrong.
