Purportedly, Junkyard is "Apple's version of a simple file recovery utility" that is similar in many respects to Norton Utilities' UnErase.

Wouldn't a journaling file system be better? And transparent to the user?

..and Macrumor is frowned upon by many at SpyMac (not including me..). And your argument is VERY week, Apple continues to make their crap consumer, not business, centered.

Maybe because the people who like Macrumors can actually spell. You also obviously know nothing about enterprise solutions otherwise you would have realized Apple's shift towards business oriented tools. Xserve, OS X, iChat, Redevenous, Samba, etc. are all serious enterprise tools introduced this summer. Maybe spymac can get a real rumor once in a while instead of resorting to petty bashing of every other legitimate rumor site on every forum which by the way, have had more true rumors posted every month than Spymac ever has.

I don't like SpyMac. Not because of the iWalk thing, everyone makes mistakes. It's mostly because they seem to take everything as fact. At least Arn admits this is a RUMOR site. This is a good site to b*tch and talk about possibilties and discuss current good and bad things about our (sometimes) favourite company. You think things get heated here. The front page always seems like "we learned from a reliable source (re: another site) that something is going to happen and we're postive it's true. No really".

I read MacCentral (owned by MacWorld?) and XLR8YourMac for the info, MacRumors for the speculation, discussion, and unconfirmed stuff. Sometimes ThinkSecret, it's usually pretty acurate, but he was being kinda b*tchy himself for awhile there. While we're on the subject though, is it me or does MacNN suck now? I mean we can all take MOSR with a grain of salt, but MacNN has really let itself go. It's been slipping for awhile now.

I've had too much free time on my hands lately.

Ironically, when I get my new Mac (finally), I'll be too busy working to come and discuss whatever will come out a few months later and make my "new" machine obsolete. Don't worry, I promise to visit.

I don't really care what JunkYard is, so I guess I shouldn't have bothered posting.

Shouldn't it be called City Dump thats where the trash goes to not a junkyard where wrecked cars go.
I don't know about XP but ME has a restore feature but deleted items cannot be recovered from it.

Junkyards take a lot more than cards. At least the one 5 miles down the road does.

Well.. I've never even been to spymac. But here on macrumors, we tend to bash every other rumor site. Macosrumors, Spymac, etc.

Listen.. you people post on a damn internet forum. That's it. It doesn't make you special or anything. Quit acting like it. Posting on Macrumors doesn't give you the right to say other rumor sites suck. And don't say you didn't say that, because basically you did.

And for god sakes.. "get a real rumor?" What the hell is that? If they only posted true things, IT WOULDN'T BE A RUMOR SITE. If you only want the truth, stick to Apple's website.

Look buddy, the point of the rumor site is to get out "possible" information on what is going to happen next, it's not supposed to be just a place for Apple fan fiction....I could start up a new rumor site tomorrow and talk about a new 60'widescreen cinema display that apple will be releasing at the next macworld, but I would have no real insider knowledge and it would be completely fabricated, and there is no point in that. Also if you actually frequented all the rumor sites you would know which ones have credibilty and which do not..........Macrumors has credibility out the ass.😱

Meaning exactly what?😕
English translation please, for us out-of-towners. Or should I try a babelfish?

Who needs babelfish?

Mmmmm.....charming turn of phrase. Must make a note of that🙄

Anyway, what happened to the topic?😕
