Would you pay a grand for an iPhone? Would most people here? No.
That would be a sure fire way for apple to lose their success to Microsoft, so let's not go over the top here.
Um, Apple *should* have a monopoly on the iPhone.
Other companies can create their own stuff. See Nokia/Microsoft as an example.
(Yes, hard to believe Microsoft is actually creating their "own stuff," but in this case it's true).
It's at over 673 now after hours. Expect a boost Monday morning with profit taking by the afternoon. You'll probably get to buy back in by Tuesday close to the price you sold today.
I think those amounts after the $1.05 billion were the damages broken down for each device (if you're getting that from The Verge). If that's what you're talking about? Or maybe I did misread.
Err no. Samsung need Apple. They are not about to go and shaft their biggest customer. These wars were all about allowing Samsung to copy and plagiarise everything Apple so they could climb to the top on the cheap.
Seriously? Did you see those 100+ pages from Samsung where they spelled out exactly how they were copying the iPhone on every minute detail? I don't see how they could possibly win this case against Apple after that made it into evidence.
Please sir or miss tell me of one invention that apple have done they self and not stolen.
If this will be the end ruling after higher instances have been over the case, then apple is in for a big ball of hurt.
They did not invent the trackpad, the mouse, the windows style operation system. They did not invent the laptop they did not invent well I can see anything that is apple specific and apple invented they have just done what all other makers have done copied form people that figured stuff out for a long long time ago.
When it comes to functions like pinch to zoom or double tap its software routines that have been around long before the iphone, long before long before.
But what do I care, does not matter that much tho since a ruling like this will give you apple in the USA and nothing else what so ever. While we people in Europe or should I say the Old World that George W Bush was quite found of saying. Will have free companies that can compete and flourish without stupid software patents that should not have been awarded in the first time.
