Let’s also keep in mind that despite not releasing iPhone 14 mini this year Apple might well continue selling at least iPhone 13 mini at a lower price.

This is horrible news. The mini is literally the perfect size for me.
I have a 12 mini and LOVE the size. I really don't understand why people want phones that are so big they can't reach across when holding it. I have big hands and I struggle to reach the corner of even the mini at times. To me, this seems clearly a case of size envy. Who wants the small one when it's next to the big one? You don't find out until later that the big one is too big. And you probably don't give any though to "Wow maybe that small one would have been the right size" ... you just deal. That 75" TV looks awesome in the store, until you take it home and realize it barely fits on your wall. I'll be horrified if I'm forced to go bigger in the future.
Can’t say I’m surprised. Many people get jealous and envious when they see celebrities and their friends using the latest and greatest, and they want to have the same whether they can afford it or not. Many people will choose bigger and better when given the choice.

Studies have been done that show people can barely scrape together $400 for an emergency. Yet somehow they can spend more than that on a phone. Google it.

At least in the US, we live in a culture where people need instant gratification. That being said, I use my phone for practical needs and have no interest in using Facebook, TikTok, or most social media. My daily driver is a 2022 iPhone SE; if I need a bigger screen I have iPads and MacBooks for that.

I have a master’s degree and my salary is higher than the average Joe, but I still think spending $1,000 + on a cell phone is utter foolishness.

The people I know who couldn’t scrape together $400 have a huge phone, but they don’t have a laptop/computer/tablet. So they are actually saving money by purching one large phone rather than a cheap phone + a computer (or in your case, a phone + computer + tablet).

I am in this boat. I have no TV, no computer, no tablet. I use my iPhone 11 for literally everything.

Great reaction. I do understand the 'phone only' people though. One thing i really do not understand is the 'bigger is better' misconception that plagues the (entire?) world.

And the fact that mini somehow got the meaning 'for people that don't use their phone often'

My 12 mini definitely had battery issues but this 13 mini is really lasting the whole day and is the best sized iPhone (maybe except the X/XS) so really not understandable this 3% marketshare.

I'll hope they turn it into an SE 2024 instead of dumping this fantastic form factor.

perhaps due to the fact that the regular 13 isn't that much more and therefore present a better purchase value than the 13 mini.

I prefer the Max Pro because of

- longer battery life
- larger display
- better camera

When I bought my 65" TV I measured the space where I would put it on. I followed the suggested minimum recommended clearance.

Love my 12 mini. Got the 13 mini for my spouse a couple weeks ago. Mine replace a first gen iphone se, his replaced the 2nd gen se which didn’t have 5g. Didn’t think 5g would get deployed so fast but it sure did.

Eyeballing the chart, looks like the 2020 SE, 2022 SE, 12 Mini, and 13 Mini combine for around 12%, so there def is a market for a smaller and budget device that is actually modern. But Apple hasn’t really made that yet, so maybe Apple should just consolidate those devices? A full screen device in the body of the SE with Touch ID in the power button selling for $400 would probably do quite well.
I would definitely consider that
