all the iphone 5 is is a better camera (i dont care im not a photographer) and it faster but the iphone 4 is fast enough its not like im going into a fastest iphone competition

They are never going to replace a "broken" iPhone 4 with the next generation. You can always wish though

That being said, don't put words in my mouth. I was simply stating that nobody on these forums has any idea what the iPhone 5 will be and that saying that it will only be "a better camera...and faster" is a pretty random assumption. Will it have a better camera? Yes probably. Will it be faster? Yes, definitely. Will those be the only changes? Most likely not.
I am being realistic. I think you need to understand the iPhone upgrade schedule. You see a new Android phone every other month.

nah, 4 months is a helluva long time to wait for whatever Apple is going to drop on us late September. Enjoy your phone.
I still like the 3gs over the 4 just for that. I'd be pissed to plunk down cash now for a 4 and find the iPhone 5 brought with it a comfortable rounded back.

3GS also had oleophobic screen coating, compass, music control for headphones, better battery life etc.
"Educated" would imply that your guess was based in some fact.... and since everything we have heard about the next iphone is speculation, then your educated guess becomes an uneducated wish. Because it sounds to me like you are trying to make yourself feel better for buying an iphone 3 months before the next gen release.
If you like your purchase, great!!! thats all that matters. But dont presume to KNOW that the next one is going to be a minor update making your current purchase less obsolete.
Listen, if you're happy with your purchase that's great and that's all that matters. But we're giving you honest feedback while you're still within your return window so that you can make an educated and smart decision. I HONESTLY wouldn't purchase an iPhone 4 right now b/c I think the iPhone 5 will be much better (even if it's only internally) and I wouldn't want to be locked into a 2 year contract with a device that's already a year old off the bat. It's ultimately your call.
Still not good enough. Radio Shack sold this phone for 149 dollars during last holiday season.
iPhone 4 will run iOS 5.0 no Problem, but it won't run iOS 6.0 with every features.
I recommend wait another 2-3 months and wait for the faster iPhone 5.

thank you the only reason i got it was because of my old phone broke and did not want to be phone less and if i waited i would of had to wait longer because of back order
I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm not up for an upgrade until next fall i believe, but I am able to cancel my contract at anytime, no cost. I am also going to be moving to a new area code for school so I have the option to just try and change my number and keep the current plan (I think that's possible) or cancel and get a new plan/phone.
I currently have the BB 9700 (worst decision after switching from an iPhone), and I am debating if I should cancel and get the iPhone 4, wait and cancel to get the iPhone 5, or keep the same plan and BB.

Expect it in about 3 months, alongside the final release of iOS 5. If you follow iOS 5 you'll know when iPhone 5 will be released.
Ya like i've heard a lot of "sometime in september"'s for when it will be released. My concern is that it will be announced in september, and not come out until around a month after.
Everything pointed to a June/July presentation, but with the release of the white iPhone 4 and delays with iOS5, I doubt they will match the original dates. If it were set for June/July they would have at least presented it first on WWDC. But since it's going to be further away, Sept., they chose to hold it off. iOS5 is not even near ready, so I'd say the second week of September. Any further would not be good for Apple, really, as it's already been delayed enough. It will most likely, therefore, come out that month
