Just got a used MacBook should I reset it?

Hi. I just bought a used Macbook pro from eBay and it came in today. I was wondering if I should reset it. the seller gave me the user name and pass word to sign in and it seams that nothing is on the computer and the previous owner is not signed into the app store and iTunes. so should I still reset it? and if so could anybody send me a link to a good video on how to.

Heck yes, reset it. Why not start out with a fresh installation of everything. If it were me, I'd wipe the slate clean and begin with a fresh install and go from there.

Heck yes. There is no reason not to. You have no idea what hidden garbage is on there.

First thing I'd do is reset and start off with a fresh install. As previous poster pointed out, there could be any sort of rubbish on it.

Thanks, I already had downloaded applications so I did a time capsule back up, then I reset it and loaded my applications back from the time capsule backup. Thanks for all the help!!!
