I got an Apple black leather case for my 6 and noticed that it moves and makes a subtle sound when I grip the phone beneath the power button. It's like the case isn't flush with the phone there. I've made sure it's on right and there doesn't seem to be a problem with my phone. It's just that one spot beneath the power button.

Anyone else?

How would the red leather case start to look over time?

I can't speak to the new iPhone six cases, but my mother-in-law has a red iPhone 5S leather case. It looks horrible. She hasn't tried to condition it so consider that, but it is blackened and worn around all the edges. It literally made me instantly cross off red from my list. In fact, it has made getting any other leather apple case besides the black one a hard sell for me now.

Nope, can't replicate that on mine. Exchange it for a new one and put it on in the store to make sure it's not doing the same thing.

IMO, if I were going for red, I'd get the silicone case. I think it looks a lot sharper as a contrast to the phone than the leather case does.

got a leather case today, an hour later after sliding my iphone out of my pocket, the leather is already peeling off around the camera hole

went back to the apple store, had it exchanged, tried rubbing the case gently around the same location

peeling off again

finally returned the case and got a refund

wondering how apple can sell this crap for such an expensive price while it cannot last more than a few minutes

Just got my Apple Leather Case

I love the way the leather cases age. For everyone worried about the difficulty of pushing the power button it gets easier over time. It's real leather and shows scuffs and wear easily, that's what leather does. get black if you want the case to look the same over time or get silicone if you don't want your case to show wear as fast. I've had mine for around a year and I love it.

I did have to return the first case I purchased because it had issues in a certain spot but the second one I got has worked very well.

Just got mine today. I think it's pretty solid, although I thought the sides were lined with the microfiber as well but I guess not. It does seem to scuff easily.

That's my favorite new case. I wish they had made that color for the 5 I was really close to getting the Tar Heel blue they had but it was just too feminine.

how is the grip on these?

I had the leather case on my iP5 and loved the "grippyness" of the leather. This iP6 version is a lot smoother than its predecessor, and I'd bet the leather isn't nearly as thick. The grip is good, but still a little bit more slippery than I would like it to be in a perfect world...but I still think it's the best minimalistic case out there.

BTW, I got the black because it doesn't show the almost instantaneous darkening ("patina"...lol) that the lighter colored ones do.

I really don't get why people are giving the impression this case is slippery in a way - maybe its my case, but the leather is super soft and feels great in the hand.

I preordered 3 Spigen cases and now all 3 just sit in silence

Get a leather case, it's so worth it

Its definitely a different texture than the 5S case but I don't find it to be slippery at all. Smooth but I don't feel that it will fall out of my hand. If anything having the case on helps with one handed usage.

My black leather finally arrived. This is the first time Ive had a case that actually made the phone look better than being naked. Its meant to be on this phone...

Returning my black leather today. Nothing wrong with it, it just isn't as well constructed or as nice as the silicone version, IMO.

Bought a brown leather for my IP6+ yesterday from Best Buy and it fits great, not slippery in the hand, and is slim. I'm not a big case guy, but the protruding camera lens had me worried. This case will be fine. Looks great with Space Gray as well.

I also just bought my brown leather 6 plus case from bestbuy. The iPhone case section was a mess and all the apple leather cases had the wrong price tag on them. So got my 6+ case for 39.99.

I bought the leather case after trying one from Best Buy. The case covered too much of the sides and I was having trouble hitting some keys. :(

I like the leather case a lot. Not sure how red will hold up. Will try to post some pics later.

I bought the Red leather case for my space grey ip6.

The red I think is the best for the space grey. It's a real attention grabber and looks really nice. Kindof like ferrari. I've got a lot of compliments.

BUT after a couple of days it was already starting to get messy and showing dark marks.

I reluctantly took it back for the midnight blue. The blue at first seemed meh but now I'm getting used to it and really love it.

But I still miss the red

I went back down to my local Apple store to exchange my black one for a brown one. Definitely made a good choice. While the black is sharp looking, the brown is even better. The feel of it seems to be a little different I think compared to the black one too with the brown being better.

I also intended to pickup a silicone case as well and while demoing one I definitely liked how they have a nice grip, I couldn't see myself paying another $40 for essentially the same case just with a different feel. If I decide to go with a secondary case I'd rather use that money for something a little more protective for those times I may need it.

Exchanged my olive brown leather for a black silicone

I wasn't going to post but I have to get up near the top all the postings that are now buried in the middle that the leather is less grippy than the silicone. Anyway - they persuaded me. I took my brown leather back today and bought a black silicone. Comparing the two materials side by side convinced me that the silicone (for my needs) is best. I still don't have an iPhone. While my 64G AT&T space gray 6 Plus has had a 'preparing to ship' since yesterday morning, nothing has changed and the charge is still pending on my AmEx. Since night ET is morning in China, perhaps by the time I check tomorrow, there will be a change - or perhaps not until Monday morning. As I ordered somewhere between 6:30 and 7 am ET on the 12th and I see others with later days shipping, I have to cling to the hope things will change soon. While I initially went with the olive brown leather, I do feel the "black" silicone one will kind of disappear on my iPhone 6 Plus and serve it's intended purpose.

The silicone felt more grippy to me as well in the store, but after using the leather for a few days I absolutely love the way it grips. Not sure if I'd want to go back to silicone after this.

I do have a Seidio Surface case with kickstand ordered (in red so I won't be tempted to buy the red Apple silicone case because it just looks so darn hot). I figured if I'm going to get a second case it should be more than just for the looks, the kickstand allows me to add in functionality as well. But I am kind of a case junkie.

I touched one of those platinum brand cases in Best Buy that is the same as the Seidio and it definitely feels just as grippy if not more than the Apple silicone case so I think you will enjoy it.

I wanted the red one for my black plus just to rep my Bulls but man, y'all got me worried. Silicon red maybe? Although 40 bucks for silicon is laughable

Picked up the Midnight Blue leather case to go with my silver iPhone 6 that I got this morning.

Looks great! The case feels solid, and it's very slim. Definitely happy with my decision.

Can you post s pic of how it looks

Mine does this too, but on the volume button side. I thought my phone itself was creaking and it wasn't. The lip actually is not flushed to the phone. I just bought the silicone case so hopefully that works better.

Noticed something similar with my midnight blue for my 6 as well. At this point I'm deciding between the midnight blue leather and the "black" silicone. Silicone provides a better grip and seems more protective. But that midnight blue leather is smooth looking and decently grippy.
