hmm it may look cool, but in the end it is still an unreliable MP3 flash card player that ties you to 1 computer.

I just hope you never try to charge it with a PC - It is just the worst experience ever. Although Apple would never admit to their failings!

Well seeing as the majority of us only have one computer I don't see the problem with this. And also, the fact that you arn't restricted to one computer confuses me further as to what you mean

I use a mac, but occasionally charge it with a PC as my family use PC's, what problems are you having in this case? My works flawlessly...

I'm glad I got the black model it is definitely my favourite from the choice:

Appleinsider has loads of pictures of the black model here.

Thanks for posting the link. I've been peering at all the pictures trying to find out if the black one had a black top and bottom! I didn't fancy it with white bits.

It annoys me when people have such an issue with the fact that Apple stopped including AC adapters with iPods. When Apple stopped including the AC adapter in iPod boxes, they reduced the price of the iPods by however much the AC adapter costs to buy seperatly, so you can buy one if you want one, but if you do not, you have saved money that you would of spent on somthing you didn't want.
That's not true. The $300 iPod 3G had an adapter, the $300 iPod 4G did not.

Well maybe the 4G iPod would of been $329 if it had the charger included.

I am very pleased to say that at 1:30 I bought my first iPod (a greenPod) from Apple's Soho store. It will not be opened for awhile, but those who have seen it in the box have nothing but praiseworthy comments. It really is a beautifully designed and sexy product. Thank heavens for the return to anodized aluminum.

Was it something I wrote? :)

Well I went into SoHo today looking at them and I was telling myself to pick one up but I didn't..I just sit down and listen to the itunes workshop....:(

Next time I'll listen to myself.....I had to fight myself good to walk out of there without one.

I just bought a blue one...it's still in the box, because my credit card balance is screaming at me to return it...but I think I'll somehow end up keeping it. It looks pretty in the box though.

Bought a blue one for my girlfriend for our anniversary she absolutely loves it. Originally I got her a black 4GB 1G, which she liked, but it broke so i sent it back tot he guy. I bought the the blue one then and she really likes the metal/aluminum a whole lot better. I thought about getting myself one, but I'm still loving my mini, and I actually prefer the larger size. Either way, kudos on bringing back the aluminum and the colors.

nano pics

Can someone please post a picture with a nano (preferably on) in their hands so I can see the size? I can't check out the nano in person yet because it's not available in the stores I have tried so far and Montreal in Canada has no apple store...and I want to buy the nano asap. thanks.

Haven't seen a pic of the little apple stickers yet!!!
are their really little apple stickers...I thought it was sarcasm

if there are...lets see a pic someone.

I'm undecided whether to put a case on my new nano. My old iskin from my 1G fits but then I can't see the pretty green anymore :( I wonder if the new nanos are durable enough without a case

Just a comment about the software CD...

a) I think Itunes 7 has only been finalised recently. For Itunes 7 CD's to have been included in the packaging it would have to have been ready 6 weeks ago for pressing and sending over to Foxcomm for including in the packaging.

My guess is that they knew Itunes 7 wouldnt be ready in time and they knew that most people have net connections and so decided to go with the reduced packaging which is more environmentally friendly.

b) Now that Itunes 7 is out, whats to stop Apple sending their stores a box of CD's and when a customer buys an Ipod be like hey "the latest software is on the net but if you don't have a net connection do you want a complimentary CD". It wouldnt exactly be a huge chunk of change would it ?

this a quiet cool the new nano but I would have liked to see black in the 4gig version and color 8gig versions.

The new nano's are made from the same aluminum as the minis, and I personally havn't ever put a skin on my mini. I've had it for a while now, and i even bought it used, in addition to that, there have been multiple drops, including one i remember onto pavement. Even that didn't do a darn thing to the paint or any other part of it. I looks just as good as the day I bought it, and I've seen new minis, and you can't hardly tell a difference. I too have the green and I couldn't stand to put a case on it. I bought a new blue nano for my girlfriend like i said earlier and she put a case on it, but is thinking about taking it off. If you don't want to cover it up, i really don't think you'll have to worry about scratching it up.
