Looks great but that's way too much money. The front and back kit is $215  almost the cost of the freakin phone.

How can you say that this picture shows it "clearly has no diffuser"? Please, let me know

And if you did a little research on the subject instead of judging other people's purchases/wants hastily, you would see that the black ip4 lens ring and diffuser are in a silver/chrome color where the white ip4 lens ring and diffuser are not. Your picture "proof" shows nothing.

But thanks for playing :D

You dont have to have the best eye site in the world to see it has no Diffuser.

If you take the back off the iPhone (I have) and hold it up the same as ANY picture of these so called OEM backs you can clearly see no lens diffuser.

And if you see the pictures "kostasic" posted you can see that it has nothing behind the flash hole

Trust me my friend I have done lots of research on this, even talked to a guy in China about it who confirmed to me that none he as see had diffusers on.

P.S. I never mentioned anything about the rings but if you look at these pictures from Apple you can see that the ring round the camera is the same on both and the diffuser has no ring, look at your own iPhone 4 if you have one and you can see the diffuser has nothing raised on the outside of the phone just the diffusers stuck behind it!
:)

there website states all sales are final so no return/exchange, etc.....

That's all good and fine but if they make a claim that a product has a certain piece or function it must have that piece or function (in this case the diffuser). I guarantee that if I put up a stink because it has no diffuser, and threaten to contact PayPal, they'll give me a refund.

And if they don't I'm sure PayPal will since they made false claims on their site regarding the product's description.

All this is neither here nor there as I haven't received anything. We'll see :)

I am now convinced I don't even know what a diffuser is. I thought it was on the inside? LOL. Will someone please tell me exactly where on the phone it's located. I'm not understanding how you can tell by the front of the case it has no diffuser (as someone in this thread has stated)?

Thanks.

when are people going to catch on this phone costs $900....

Just because you get a subsidised price with your contract doesn't mean its only worth a couple of hundred $$

its on the inside of the hole for the flash...it looks like concentric rings meant to spread the light of the LED flash.

Is there any color problem? Light leak? What I mean is, if making a white back is possible now why is Apple having so much trouble getting the white iphone out???

they are all the same **** from China...from whatever place makes em for apple...they are all OEM but not official OEM stuff

I imagine that after Apple rejected the first 10 production runs for whatever reasons they are rejecting them, that they decided they could just sell them to 30 different parts places and on ebay and probably make more money anyway.

Good questions. Those with white backs look to be satisfied, there may be potential issues with the fronts, with the light sensor holes, display (perhaps affecting the auto brightness), and maybe even issues with the way the flash works against an all-white back. Food for thought as we consider pulling the trigger.

mine from globaldirect came in today...3 days from china, not bad! it was packaged super well, padded beyond all recognition. I did get a scare when the shipping document said it was a plastic cell phone cover but I guess that was for customs etc which I didnt pay anything (came fedex). I put my BSE back on it and now its drying.

NO DIFFUSER

Other than that its a really nice piece and its gonna look great when on.

So just a hole in the glass?

as it turns out the diffuser is simply a 1mm thick piece of concave plastic that fits between the flash and the glass. i took comparison flash pictures before and after the back swap and noticed no difference. i suspect that cases will impact the flash far more than the absence of a diffuser. overall i'm pretty pleased with the end result.

I love this look, white back, black front, it looks like it should like older models. Which place are you guys ordering from? I know Iresq and globaldirect but would like to know.

The white bumper really doesnt look good with the white back (in my opinion :p)

Now, the black bumper..... thats nice!

Are the top two before and the bottom one after? The bottom one looks pretty bright, but they are taken in different circumstances.

People are getting them from both places. If you're considering getting one let me know as I accidentally have 2 coming

in doing a to b comparisons it's pretty obvious that companies are selling apple's rejected parts. the white back bleeds the flash light like mad - to the extent that the flash shines through a dime size portion of the white glass but does not do so with black. ultimately this has little to no impact on the final picture, but have a look at these white to black comparison photos. again, in the final picture i see little to no difference. actually i find that this bleed assists with optimal photos as the black back plagued me with spotlight-y photographs.
