I confirmed with 2 different supervisors on 611. I've already swapped one of my iphones into a razor. plan is still there and so is the iphone. at&t is unaware im using a different imei...
swap your sim into another phone ie: razor or bb whatever.
login to your mywirless account and it will still think your using an iPhone 3G or 3GS whatever you have. Your unlimited data will not be taken away as of June 7th.
A few have said this is NOT TRUE by their own personal experience. It is hit or miss. You're taking a chance on losing your unl. data plan.

Call 611 and tell them your selling your iPhone 3G/3GS and your going to swap sim into another phone and want it documented on your account that if for any reason your Unlimited plan is dropped or changed they will reverse it for you.
Done.

Careful, they are valid for existing customer that have them, the SOC(s) are still in the system and valid for existing accounts.1 problem with that; if you've ever had an old code on your account removed, you'll know that once it's removed they system won't allow them to put it back on.
After the 7th, the unlimited plans are invalid. It's not possible to get them added back on.
Wyatt just tested the upgrade options on the AT&T website by pretending to upgrade from his current 1st gen iPhone to a 3GS. He sent a screenshot that shows that the unlimited plan was indeed provided as an option. Wyatt adds, "If their OLAM can provision surely their retail systems can do the same thing."

That's how existing customers are going to be able to pre-order the new iPhone 4 and select their current existing Unlimited Data plan if they have it now or choose one of the new data plans. It will be right there by the new DataPlus and DataPro plans, please choose the correct plan!!!
The SOC(s) have not been removed from the system! At some point in the distant future they may be removed from the provisioning matrix and then and only then, if that SOC is removed it can't be re-added period.
Note: I would call them SOC Codes but the C in the TLA SOC is Code... kind of like stating LAN Network.... instead of just LAN

My friend bought an iPhone from a buddy of mine, popped in the SIM from his Sony phone and his account never changed. He did not have any data plan prior and AT&T never added the $30 unlimited data plan to his account. He just uses wifi when he needs it. Text messaging works fine as well. In other words, AT&T did nothing to his account.

Hey Geckotek, I don't answer PMs. Please keep it in the forum, it protects everyone that way.Okay, then to clarify, if your unlimited plan is somehow removed, a CSR can add the SOC back?

Wrong. People who still have backordered iPads still may have not gotten them. The system still allows it to be added manually.
Get a clue before spouting such nonsense next time. Owned.
