It is indeed exclusive to the new models
Darn that's a bummer, appreciate the response.

Updated my phone and now I can’t download app updates because I can’t accept the new Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions agreement. It always comes back with an error. The google machine doesn’t have any answers yet either…

I also have this issue. I restarted and it prompted me for my Apple ID and once I entered it, it worked. I'm able to update apps now.

Wondering how the "duplicate photos" work. I take several pictures of the same things sometimes to get a better light, etc... The pictures might look the same but they are not. How will Apple determine it is a duplicate photo and not two different ones of the same thing?
I was wondering the same thing…

I guess it's time for me to test it out. 😒

How do you update to the final release now if you were running the public beta? I haven't installed the last update or two on the public beta since there were no real updates and so I'm not running the GM release candidate.

So with the delete messages option, does it tell you if a message was delivered somewhere that it couldn't be deleted? Eg, if I always just keep a device running ios 15 around, I can prevent people from pulling the delete message feature on me?

Ok two things I want the old iOS 15 wallpapers back that change when I use dark mode

Secondly am I the only one who is bothered by the new battery percentage ? Was it really that difficult to make the battery icon animated and go down along with the percentage ?

And also changing the wallpaper now for the Lock Screen and Home Screen is a tedious process 😢

Come on Apple, bring back "allow notifications when unlocked" under Do not disturb mode (and other focuses)!!!

I am MAD missing sms while my iPhone is unlocked 😫

To anyone having issues with agreeing to the media services terms: You can still update your apps on both iOS and macOS if you go into the individual app "pages" and press update. It's not ideal since many apps are updating, but it's at least a workaround.

It seems as though the feature looks at the image to determine if they are the same which includes many different criteria. When you use the feature, you get to completely decide what to merge and what to get rid of, so in your case, the duplicates you want to keep, you most certainly can.

In the cases where you accidentally imported a set of photos twice, this will be very handy to get rid of the exact duplicates. It's not clear exactly how exactly the same the pictures need to be to be considered duplicates.

The neat thing about merge though is that it also updates the albums that may have contained a duplicate with your new master. Again, you get full control of what to keep and what to trash.

Correct me if I'm wrong... if I install iOS 16 now I can go back to iOS 15, but only for a few weeks, after which it's a one way street.

You can update to iOS 15.7 first and create a backup, then update to iOS 16. I think Apple will continue to sign 15.7 for a while longer so you should be able to revert to it. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

How can you get rid of the ridiculus Hour widget on the lock screen, Makes it look like an Android phone, where the hell did Apple loose the elegancy they once had.

I believe that is correct. Until Apple stops signing iOS15. I upgraded with the 15.7 and did a full backup to my PC. If I want to down grade back to 15, from what I read, I can use iTunes to do or use the the IPSW file for 15.6.1.

I’m particularly fond of the delete message feature. So much so that I’ve created an automated shortcut that automatically deletes my message almost instantly after I’ve sent it. Now I live free, a life without regret, never to be bothered of the clouds of doubt if I worded my reply correctly. Tonight, friends, I sleep well for the first time in over a thousand years.
