just installed iOS5, if you have any questions:

just a warning i think im blind now as the LED is bright lol.
 
Is it safe to say that it's more and more likely the Enterprise will be full of iPhones and Androids?

Ah wish you could dim it down a bit. Maybe send Apple feedback on that?
 
im trying to install ios5 onto my ipad2 but it keeps saying im not eligible, **** it wont even let me install 4.3.3. this is odd.

i want to test out the imessages on ipad.
 
You said you were jailbroken... How did you go about installing iOS 5? Did you have to unjailbreak first? Or did you just plug in your phone and run the .dmg file?

Basically I want to make sure all of my App Store apps and data stay, and I don't care what happens to the jailbreak stuff.

Also, do you use Google for syncing your contacts, mail, and calendar? Just wondering if those still work, as those are my primary functions for my phone ;)

Your jailbreak immediately is gone once you restore or upgrade from iTunes.
 
Can you use your MobileMe login for iCloud. If so, does this disrupt syncing of everything on other devices that are still using MobileMe sync such as an iPad or Macbook Pro?
 
Is there an icon that stays in the status bar when you get a text, missed call, facebook notification, etc.? Also is there an option to clear all notifications at once?
 
i sync'd all my stuff from google. contacts and all that.

no and no. only option to clear all calls, all texts, only can clear notifications from 1 app at a time.
 
In the setup screen it has an option to create an icloud account? Can you do this on your phone yet or does it only work for existing mobile me users?
 
Ugh, the #1 thing I wanted was notification icons in the task bar (at least just for calls, e-mails, texts, and calendar). Lame.

Question about the weather... I saw that it shows up in the drop-down notification panel, but is there a way to get it on the lock screen along with the other notifications?

How bright is the LED light on the flash though? because the flash is pretty strong in my opinion and it could get annoying having it that bright for ever message..
oh ALSO please take a video of the iOS 5 and stuff! I have been looking for a user video ever since it was announced! plwease :)

What happens if your imessage contact is offline, does it default to SMS automatically??

Does Skype work?
 
I have "Store" preferences question.

Does it allow different address than what your iCloud/mobile me is now?

Perhaps a post I made will describe what I mean so I will post it here.

Here is scenario.

I have 2 iPhones and a iPod touch for kid. We all have the SAME Apple ID linked to AppStore purchases so we don't have to download 3 separate copies and pay for all 3.

We have MobileMe family pack with separate email addresses for separate calendar, email, etc...

Here is the problem:
On the new screen shots for iCloud you use your Apple ID to, and i qoute, "Your apple ID sets up iCloud, the AppStore, iTunes Store and more"

Then the iCloud setup (outside of Apple ID sign in area) has only 1 slider of on and off for, and I quote, "Store your contacts, calendars, photos, music, books, APPS, and more..." ...... WITH NO SEPARATE LOGIN!!!!!

That means in order to have separate email, calendars, etc... You have to have DIFFERENT Apple IDs for syncing different email and calendars.

THE OUTCOME (if this true)
You have to have different Apple IDs for different users. And since the ability to SHARE one paid download among all the devices is linked to the Apple ID, and all your devices have to have diffent Apple IDs means you have to purchase each app separately for each device with a different Apple ID.

IF THIS IS TRUE, BIG TROUBLE
I don't want to buy every app we ALL use 3 times.


AM I WRONG? (I hope I missed something)

From screenshots it looks like the Apple ID is only entered in ONE spot to control ALL iCloud/App Store/iTunes/calendar/email... Etc....

safari is the same right now, as soon as i can get my ipad 2 up and running ill tell you if that has tabbed.

calls work fine, yes, they go to normal SMS, i havent reinstalled skype on here yet. will try to do that in a few.
 
i dont think apple ever stated that the iphone will get tabbed browsing. from what i collected, its an ipad only feature.
 
Is it possibly to install ios5 beta on ipad, and then return to latest stable version of ios 4 via itunes?
