What. A. Machine. Wow. I traded my late 2013 13" MacBook Pro for this. I mainly use this for watching videos/sports, surfing the web and writing emails. The speed is unbelievable and the weight is wonderful.

Anyone else change from a MBP to MacBook Air?

I sold off my late 2013 MBP for this, a world of difference and I even thought of going to the 15 inch 2015 MBP until most users here told me to go for the M1 instead !

I picked up an MBA last week, got the 256GB/16GB for an amazing price, although I didn't need a laptop I was like why the hell not at that price. Loving it be honest, I am highly critical of Apple given the **** they put me through with past MBPs but this is a cracking little machine.

Picked up a MBA 256/16 a couple weeks ago to replace my 2015 MBP. I was really on the fence as to whether or not to stick with Apple given the lack of upgradability but in the end this machine for the price was really hard to beat. Hopefully it will last me as long as the MBP did. Was a little surprised that Affinity Photo still takes so long to start up even on this device, other then that it seems very quick. Have to get used to using dongles for things is going to take a little while for me. I will also miss having the charge light on the charger. Otherwise I'm quite pleased with the purchase.

Been using 512GB with 8Gb ram since January for 10 months. Overall great machine, which replaced my top of the line Win gaming laptop, which replaced my 2012 rMBP 13".
Battery life is great and performance is on par with heavy Win gaming laptop. Only gripe is that i should have went with 16Gb of ram on this cause i use it for work.
For leisure, when i didn't work for couple months, i felt that my machine is truly awesome and 16Gb of Ram would be sitting there with no work.

is there a usb hub issue?

When M1 Mini, Air, and MacBook Pro originally launched, there were reports in this forum about several issues with Big Sur like WiFi, SSD excessive writes, and bluetooth issues. Most, if not all the issues were allegedly fixed by 11.2. I experienced WiFi issues with M1 on 11.6.1 during setup and all was resolved once I downloaded Monterey. Could be a one off issue but another in this thread experienced the same.
