r-sparks now worries I know what you are talking about.

I changes not less than 22 iPads - The reasons - very yellow tint in some of them - dust in mostly each and every one of them, one with a non working home button right out of the box, dead pixel's in a few of them.

This retina screen is basically a non perfected screen and will be perfected in the near future as for the tint etc..... its a new technology the way the screen is made.... so I am sure there will be some issue's.

The worst is the dust in the screen which really bugs the crap out of me.

I would rather pay an extra US$ 50 for a worker at foxconn to go over the dam thing with a magnifying glass 10 times thrice a day before the thing is packed to make sure no dead pixels, dust, backlight issues and freakin tint is present.....

Apple take 50 More but sort the freaking QC's

If you don't like what I say just ignore me... PLEASE! and yes I purchased the new iPad, would you like to see a copy of my MRI too?

Nah, I would be afraid to see what would be on it. And you are quite correct that you should just be ignored which I will try to do.

Chopping another pound off? The thing is only 1.4 lbs. You're asking for something that weighs less than a Kindle but still has all of the features of the iPad. Not happening in the next decade, maybe two.

Yeah, is that asking too much?

----------

You sounded reasonable until you mentioned you have no choice but to buy 5 and return 4 all at the same time.

That is inappropriate. Maybe buy 2 at a time... But 5 just to find 1 perfect one??? Come on.

This is purely a time saving activity. If you going on the quest and have the room on the card I would do it unless Apple is willing to open them in the store until a reasonable one is found.

I would not open all 5 at once, but one at a time.
