does it bother any of you that the buttons rattle?...is this expected of a premium priced bumper?

I'm still debating whether I should shell out $40 for this, which is why I would like to hear some opinions.

I currently have the rhinoshield along with the daswise but both fall short in terms of touching each other, leaving the screen exposed a bit where dust does/can get underneath.

That and the fact that since I'm not a backer, it may take even longer for me to get this since their website only says pre-order.

i've received mine. kinda feel that it's not worth my penny for this case.

mainly because:
rattling buttons feels cheap
bottom middle part uneven/sag
very hard fit with edge to edge tg (only managed to fit it after multiple tries. 70% of the time my ice max TG top edges will be pushed up)

will i recommend? Nah.

I'm sorry, but I can't imagine the buttons actually rattle. Mine would move a little during pressing, but they certainly NEVER rattled. I found the same type of complaints on the Catalyst case. It squeeks and the sound is muted. Well, yes, if you twist and press on it you can make it squeek. During normal use, it doesn't at all. As far as the sound, if you compare two phones at the same time, one cased and one not, then yes you can hear a slight difference. In normal use, no. I don't know why people get so compulsive about these things.

No rattle here. Moves a little when pressed. You would have to put it next to your ear and shake it to hear it slightly moving around. Everyday use and moving around with it, you don't notice a thing. I'm sure it will drive someone crazy who are obsessed with shaking it near their ear all day long just to get upset with themselves hearing it moving or rattling on them. LOL  So far every person who has seen this thing places it next to their plastic cases and tells me that it makes all of theirs look super cheap. Specially when holding it. The feel of metal, just like the real naked iPhone, is fantastic compared to the cheap feel of plastic or rubber.

I've been reading on various sites (here, Kickstarter campaign page, Reddit) that this bumper doesn't interfere with WiFi or cellular signal. I feel like I've noticed both being degraded ~1 bar each while wearing the K11. Am I crazy?

No. ALL metal bumpers will interfere with the device's signal. This is a known fact. Anyone who says otherwise is just trying to justify wasting $40 on this bumper and keeping it on their iPhones.

If it isn't Mr. Negative! My k11 shows no degradation. It isn't "all metal" there is strategically placed TPU to allow signal to pass. I have had four metal and composite Element cases the do not cause degradation.
Why don't you actually own the k11 before you make your blanket proclamation that no metal bumper works.

I see no degradation either - I have used field test multiple times in different areas to compare and there is no reduction in signal from naked to bumper.

When I'm doing something that requires a lot of downloading (e.g., browsing Reddit with Alien Blue and viewing image links), I feel like my phone is almost stalling/timing out. So in addition to lower signal, it's almost like I'm experiencing data loss. This seems to have happened right when I got my K11. I'll do some testing with it off then back on, but honestly... I don't like taking it on and off a lot. I feel like I'm going to damage the bumper or scratch my case. :/

Not happy with their E2E glass either. I realize they made the colored trim to be the exact measurements of the phone's trim, but that leads to the space between the screen and the glass to create a sort of tunnel effect where the edges become too narrow and cover, for example, the edges of keys on each side of the keyboard.

I never come to the forums to be negative, but I can't help myself in this case (pun intended).

None for me either and I did field test for a week before receiving the Genuine K11. I logged the locations and time. I did the same with K11 on and no change for the stronger areas and perhaps -1 on at the lowest signal areas. If I got -114 in a bad signal area, I would usually get the same or -115. Goes back and forth with it. I have a near dead zone in the house and that's about it. Just -1 or same. Return your K11 and get a replacement.

I read this thread and all the others I could find and decided to go ahead and buy both the bumper and e2e glass. Should get them in a few days, can't wait to see for myself. Seems the people who like it actually use it a lot and the ones who dislike it only heard about things or only used it a little.

I dislike it because after I found out first hand that it effects WiFi and doesn't fit quite right on the bottom I returned mine for a refund. Not to mention that it just isn't worth the money.

I have ten bumpers for an iPhone 6 from four Manufacturers. One cost $140. The K11 is better than all of them and is my permanent use it everyday bumper. It doesn't effect WIFI in any of the places I use it. I don't know why you must continue to trash it over and over again.

Omg....you have 10 and one cost $140....you spent 140 on an iPhone bumper? Another 40 for the k11 and whatever the others cost. Sorry but I just can't wrap my head around spending that much on crappy iPhone bumpers.

Spent $24 on the K11 Kickstarter. I didn't pay for four of the others. Quality control issues brought about replacements without the need to return. Anyway people collect crazier things. I wanted the best and arrived at the K11. Go to the Element Case site. There are models $200 and $300 (cases however). wrap your head around that.

The port is that you call as sagging is designed to fit 3rd party chargers. It's oversized and flexible to accommodate these. Most bumpers made with TPU that has this ability has the same similar effect. You have to be OCD to keep staring at it at an upset yourself. If ThanoTech decided to drop third party support then this section will be firmer, but no 3rd party cable support. You have to look at the iPhone at a certain angle to keep obsessing with the port. Otherwise it looks fine and works really good. Signal loss is negligible. No degradation with your connectivity. Stop lying about that.

I still can't wrap my head around you spending 140 for a bumper.....10 bumpers total? That's quite a collection. Guess people like you are good for the economy. One question though, what makes the 140 one so special? Does it do something thing special? Does it talk or do tricks?

Why are you so butt-hurt over someone not liking this over priced bumper? It's a matter of personal opinion. What works for you may not work for the next person. The purpose of this forum is to post the pros and the cons.

It's just that you, HickDead and thegrants82 repeat the same negative comment again and again. Once was enough. Is it a vendetta, for the two of you, against the company. There are two commenters on the kickstarter site that are the same way. every chance they get after someone gives a positive review boom their names come up to screw up anyones good feelings. You two might be them. Some would define baiting like that as trolling.

To thegrants82 I actually don't use the $140 case. I realized that it looks to complex to on a simple designed phone. There are dozens of bumpers and cases in that price range all over the internet. Some people don't like plastic crap on their $700 to $800 dollar phone. You might as well go for a close to free phone that has poor design and cheap materials.

Vendetta against the k11? Lol, I think that you are watching a little too much Netflix. I bought the k11 and returned it. That's not a vendetta when someone posts there thoughts.

Hey there's also a $1,000 titanium bumper from a company called Gray International.

Anyways, if anyone wants my barely used k11 bumper it's posted over in the marketplace forum.

I got my k11 and e2e protector today and while I really, really wanted to like it I'm going to send it back. It looks and feels great and maybe it will actually protect from a 6ft drop, but within an hour of using it the screen protector had shattered right near the home button. Also, the bottom "sagging" issue was very noticeable to me, AND the buttons definitely do rattle.
Maybe I just got a bad case, I don't know, but for about $70 total it's just not worth it to me. I'm hoping that Thanotech does the right thing and makes returning both easy, and also hope they give me a refund for their screen protector. I could understand if it was a different brand but they advertise it as working perfect with the bumper. And before anybody asks, no, I didn't drop it or abuse it. I had it in my pants pocket for a little and then a coat pocket, definitely nothing that should have shattered the screen.

I will add here that Thanotech has some great customer service. They emailed me back within an hour or so of my request to return the bumper. I'm still going to send the k11 back but I'm going to let them mail me a replacement screen protector since they said a few defective ones were shipped out.
