He’s been diagnosed as bipolar, it’s part of his genius and why he’s an iconic producer / musician. Most creatives have some type of “mental illness”, it’s their muse and how they create what they do.

Kanye is clearly more of a genius than any of you, the dry erase board math proves it.

Plus, he likes fish sticks in his mouth. So there....

Sure, it’s been studied pretty extensively. Here is one:

Since ancient times, the observation has been made that extremely creative individuals were unusual in many ways and it has been suggested that psychological processes akin to those observed in madness might be an important component of the special abilities of genius. In the research into the connection between creativity and psychopathology a theoretical connection has been drawn between creative functioning and unusual or regressed thinking processes,[2] affective symptoms,[3,4] personality traits and values[2,4] and behavioural characteristics. Almost any extraordinary performance or creative achievement, then – whether it is in writing, music, poetry, philosophy, dance, art, sculpture or intellectual discovery – could be said to be the variants of the belief that there can be “no great genius without some touch of madness”.

The theory is that “greatness” is found when pushing your brain / mood to the max. That is why bipolar individuals create better art while either on a manic high - or a depressive low (think Van Gogh).

You generally can’t create greatness while staying in the middle - it’s found at the edges, and that’s what bipolar individuals frequently experience.

To everyone commenting on how much they hate Kanye:
1. He is a literal self-made billionaire (grew up poorer than most on this forum)
2. He can get all you haters talking about him by acting how we does
3. His art (music tickets as well as fashion apparel) sells out faster than Apple devices

Surely he did something right to get to where he is. Whether you like or despise his art or him is subjective, however the fact remains that he is smarter than about 99% of people.
