Even Mr. West has enough brain cells to count how many tears I will shed at this incredible slight.

Should somebody who has to beg for help with his debt really be turning down ways to sell his music?

That's one thing you can't take away from him, his incredibly successful music career. Whether you like it or not, millions will love his album

Considering the world population, millions of people with bad taste is just a drop in the bucket.

Whoa, is this the comments section of MacRumors or a circle jerk for Kanye haters? Fun fact Michael Jackson AKA "The King of Pop" only received 13 grammy awards during his lifetime. Kanye West has 21 grammy awards and still counting (making him one of the most awarded artist of all time and the most Grammy-awarded artist of his age).

You don't have to like his music, but respect a living legend when you see one. That is all.

I have more respect for MJ as a dead person than I do for KW alive. I don't care how many awards anyone has. You have to earn my respect. And, as much as KW doesn't give a rip about who I am or that I may not like him as a person OR artist, says nothing more than you still have to earn the respect of people.....one person at a time.

You guys are all confused. His job is to make music not be your friend. You never met him, but claim you don't like him as a person? Your image of him is only what the media presents you, which is already geared towards "what damaging thing can we say about him to boost our ratings/make more money?" Everyone hated on MJ up until his death for all of the allegations, but then after he dies, all of a sudden the media/society portrays him as an angel and he was always loved.

If you take a peak in art history, you will find that most of the greatest artists this world has ever seen were hated on 'til they died. Then their artwork was truly valued and appreciated.

Why wait until a legend dies to be pretend you like at least SOME of his artwork? Don't let the popularity of his hate right now dictate your opinion of his undeniable talents.

He didn't have the slightest respect for a dead legend, just try YouTube for his performance of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody at Glastonbury. I detect many things there, but talent is not one of them.

Saturday Night Life!

Also, the level of snark in these comments is hilarious. I know damn well if it was an Apple Music exclusive and Apple brought Kanye out on stage everyone would be going nuts. Don't act like Tim Cook, etc. aren't on the phone trying to get his album on their service.

I don't watch the Grammy's. I could care less About KW, I just dont want to waste a single brain cell on it.

Can't tell if you're serious about any of that. If you are, you're missing out. Rap is a diverse artform responsible for fantastic contributions to music, social thought, and general culture.

So let me ask you this question. Can you achieve 21 grammy awards as well? If Kanye West has no talent, then that must be true, right?

You're falling into the popularity of his hate. Someone could be a jerk and still possess true artistic talents. If he wasn't truly talented, he wouldn't be on his 2nd DECADE (yes, you read that correctly. DECADE!) of Hip Hop success.

The problem is you want the people you like to be perfect heroes, and if you don't like them, then they're the perfect villains. Human beings are not that simple and tend to be more complicated than that.

Dude. There are people in this very form who have every Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 album since Ben and Dancin' Machine. You know you love a person and their work, especially like Michael, when he sings a song about a boy's best friend being a rat. So please don't get trumped up on this 'hate someone until they are dead', when you don't know who here has what.

Have you heard of Michael putting his hand out asking for $1 billion from a person who worked hard to make his own money? Last I remembered, no person in desperate need of something from someone else is in any position to make any demands or stipulations, especially when they NEED that person. Kanye NEEDS money and help from someone else. That someone else does NOT need help from Kanye.

So let me ask you this question. Can you achieve 21 grammy awards as well? If Kanye West has no talent, then that must be true, right?

If you're measuring the amount of Grammys as the pinnacle of success, then you're leaving a hell of a lot to be desired. I.. hell, WE await the time where Kanye can go from the amount of narcissism that would make Donald Trump jealous, to looking at himself in the mirror and being the change that needs to be reflected in the world, to caring about other people and cultures, to caring about our planet, to touching every life in an enlightening and positive way that he encounters.

Michael as done that, and touched millions of people around the world. Kanye? well, I'll paraphrase his sister, Janet: What has Kanye done for us lately?

You're on a forum right now that delivers news to you about the company Apple, which was created by arguably the biggest jerk in history! But he's dead now and possessed amazing talents so it was ok.

The hypocrite level is through the roof here. I should probably go. I think I'm bringing too much truth into this forum and it's threatening so many fake realities.

I'll leave you with this: you CAN still be a jerk AND possess amazing talents that are undeniable. Steve Jobs was proof of that.

Is anyone here arguing that Steve wasn't a jerk? We all know that and it is acknowledged. But what you are failing to understand is that he turned that around as well.

Kanye is a jerk. Has he turned himself around yet? Yes, or no?

Yet you fail to debate every point I have made. Is that 'bringing too much truth', or not being able to handle the truth? Because if you look at history, both Jobs and Jackson prove you wrong.

It's cool, I can uh "obtain" the mp3s and upload them directly to my Apple Music account. THat's if I even wanted to hear his new "album".

I have said this before as well. He shows many of the signs of untreated Bipolar disorder. His twitter ramblings are very typical.
Grandiose beliefs about yourself, that you are on a special mission or have special powers or abilities.
Grandiose and unrealistic plans
Making odd decisions on the spur of the moment
Recklessly spending your money
Over familiar or recklessly critical of other people
Less Inhibited in general
Behaving unusually
Moving quickly from one idea to another
Feeling more important
Full of new ideas
My neighbor recently was diagnosed with bipolar, and he had a lot of these same symptoms. Crazy that I realize, after the reading the list you provided, that sounds a lot like Kanye. Probably is bipolar or something of the sorts. I saw the man go off on some crazy rant at Bonnaroo (disclaimer: my friend wanted to see his performance) about how he's going to be one of the greats. "I'm coming for you, Henry Ford, Thomas Jefferson!" The entire crowd booed. It was really embarrassing.

He may be a stand up, great guy away from the cameras (never met him), but his public persona shows text book Narcissism......

Good find, man. Just checked the article out. Really think there's something wrong with the fellow (Kanye). Yikes.

Agreed, Rap can certainly be defined as a form of entertainment, actually calling it music is a stretch. It should be classified as a form of poetry set to some type of background that is not necessarily music based.

Can we turn this into a music definition thread? That would be much more fun.

What is your definition of music? Does it need melody, harmony, beat? What about discord? Does it need to adhere to western standards? Ever heard Eastern music scales, is a sitar music or does instrumentation have to be tuned to a diatonic scale? What about Gregorian chants? What about John Cage, is 4'33" music? Do you understand what he was trying to accomplish with that piece? Are any minimalist composers music? Is punk rock music when it is sung atonally? Is rock and roll music when put against the backdrop of the baroque or romantic classical composers? How about purely percussion pieces (Stomp, drum circles, some world music), is that music? How about polyrhythm, does everything have to be 4/4, is Zappa breaking the rules and no longer "music"? Enlighten us :)

In all honesty I like Tidal more than Apple Music so I subscribed to it.

At the end of the day, both give you basically the same thing for the same price. The presentation is what set them apart for me.

For the Kanye album. IMHO, there were only two good songs on it. As with Adele and her choice though for album release. Their music, their choice.

Tidal doesn't have Siri integration. To be able to say "Play (some music not in my library)" while driving is essential.

I really hope Drake, Nicki Minaj, tyga, Rick Ross, jay-Z his wife and baby blue velvet, lil'Wayne and Chris Brown all follow in Kanye West footsteps. Apple Music would be so much better without those no talent waste of space taking up all the Apple Music screen

I don't think Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Beyonce and Chris Brown fall under crap music.

Also, Baby Blue Velvet is who?
