the device is actually pretty cool if you checked what it actually does, but I guess people start hating whenever they hear his name so that's understandableWhy not sell it himself at a better rate, to compete with the industry and piracy, on SD Cards or something. $200 for an album on a device that has nothing else going for it makes no sense.
"time to free music from this oppressive system."
So...require buyers to buy a $200 device? That sounds pretty oppressive too.
He's talented. But f'ed in the head.
And you STILL won't have his "music". But you do you...WTF??? Apple, are you serious???? I will quit Apple One because of that.
Kanye West is by far the greatest person in the world.
I will switch to Huawei or Xonami or whatever.
Sort of like the oppression of developers by the Apple App Store then, right? 30% ransom while you are forced to sell your wares there.Oppression is always defined by the perspective of the speaker — in this case, he is referring to the oppression of artists by labels. You as a customer have options, as an artist that isn't the case as labels also control all avenues of album releases while collecting a king's ransom from all money raised.
I was going with thermostat, but smoke detector is probably a better choice. We had a decade of knockoff iPods, and it took another to bring us a poorly cut out smoke detector

I did but what I don't understand what does it do that a software can't do for lower cost if someone really care about the music editing. Also, the device is only for his album as far as I understand.the device is actually pretty cool if you checked what it actually does, but I guess people start hating whenever they hear his name so that's understandable
I’ve never heard of her personally.Who the hell is that?
What a business plan -- sell music to only musicians.I haven't been into Kanye's music for a while now, but this weird little gadget actually seems awesome for nerds who are into music in any way. I'm tempted to buy one just to play around with.
Not even close — most artists only get between 11-16% of their revenue, whereas developers get 70%, and only for the first 12 months, then apple's cut drops to 15%. If developers feel oppressed by the App store they can then do the equivalent of what Kanye is doing and sell it as a Web App — making device, platform, and market irrelevant to the delivery — create their own log-in and pay system, as he did.Sort of like the oppression of developers by the Apple App Store then, right? 30% ransom while you are forced to sell your wares there.
