I got both the 6 and 6 Plus right now. Every time I pull out the 6 out of my pocket I can just use it like a regular iPhone. Every time I pull the 6 Plus out of my pocket I instantly notice the inconvenience and have to think about working around it; like trying to focus while taking a picture in one hand. IMO keep the 6.

I agree it's interesting that you never see anyone with a 6 Plus IRL but that's probably for good reason.

I own both and agree with the plus feeling more inconvenient. For me though, the battery is still too tempting. I'm a heavy user with a job that has me walking around a ton and no time to plug in from as early as 5am to 10pm daily. Today with my version of light use on my 6, I'm already at 80%, and still have a long day ahead of me. Makes the decision a lot harder.

Had a Plus for a week, was just too large for my needs, and didn't have a good storage spot for it on my bicycle. Switched to a 6 and don't regret it for a second.

Also considering going from 6+ back to 6. Funny, I too mainly noticed it's cumbersome on my bike. I'm also discovering my preference for the iPhone in the context of my connectivity/productivity ecosystem; a compact device that still maximizes screen size which for me personally seems to be the 6.

Out of curiosity, which color/size 6 did you go with?

Maybe spend a few more days and get closer to the 14 day period before you make your decision. I would not change your decision because of the thought of being different by having iPhone 6+, that kind of thinking will always leave you with regrets. If you are going to change anything, do it for you and only you.

Spend more time with the device you now have, wait a few more days and go with you gut instinct.

Now my local Apple Store got in some 6 plusses.....I'm holding myself back from going to pick one up haha

I went with a silver 64GB 6, it works perfectly, fits on my bike and in all pairs of pants. I do think the + is an incredible device, but it doesn't suit my needs at this moment in time... perhaps because at home (well, on my sofa) I have an iPad Air and work off a docked MacBook Pro all day.

You miss your 6+ that's obvious.

Do you see yourself missing anything about the 6?

"I wish I had a smaller screen and shorter battery life.."

If not...

Switch and be happy.

Thanks for the reply! The only thing I see myself missing is not being able to feel that it's in my pocket. I was able to use mine with one hand just fine. The only other issue is I need a protective case, but don't foresee an otterbox being an option if I want to put it in my pocket. I had a Speigen Tough Armor on my 6+ and it was fine but not protective enough for me.

Walking about is the scenario where you will feel the inconvenience of the 6 Plus the most and pulling it out of your pocket while walking is the time you will be most likely to drop the device as well.

Thanks for all of the replies! I have 9 days left to return my 6 so I guess I have some time to think about things.

If I did use an Otterbox on the 6+ it definitely would be huge! It's just such a tough decision of what I should do.

I definitely miss the 6 plus but I love the portability of the 6. I think I'm going to make a list of pros and cons of each phone tonight. I have an exam tomorrow so I feel like making a list would be a great "study break" haha. Thanks!

Try the guide in my signature, I basically already listed them and put them in a questionnaire. Please give it a shot, you're exactly the kind of person I made this for ;)

"man I could have kept the 6 plus and been different from everyone else."

In about 3-4 months.... more will have plus than the 6 I predict.

So that in and of itself is a poor reason, imho.

If the 6 had 1080p and the same battery life as the 6+ I'd probably would get that instead.

The 6 has marginally better internals as the 5S with the same ppi and same battery life. It just seems like such a lackluster and lazy "upgrade"

In my opinion, the 6+ offers many more upgrade-worthy features than the 6 does; its size is the biggest setback though and not everyone can manage a phablet as their daily driver.

Stick with the 6. It's more practical. Don't get a phone just to be different. You don't want to trade convenience for being different. And I can't imagine a 6+ in an otter box. It must be enormous.

The pluses are more popular.

I find the 6 plus is stuck in limbo, it's too big for a pocket, but too small for a bag. I thought about complimenting the 6 plus with a Motorola Hint earpiece (very compact and invisible) but that's not out yet and a decent smart watch, but my pebble is dying and apple watch also is nowhere near release.

At this point, the 6 plus is too much of a habit changer and the accessories that would balance that to make it the ultimate smart phone don't yet exist to buy.

I like the 6 over the plus mainly because of the portability. Don't get me wrong I do like the 1080p screen but don't like how long the plus is. Apple should have made the 6 1080p which they could have but didn't for their own reasons.

I love my 6 plus. I have small hands and wear moderately skinny jeans (Levi's 511s). I have no problem handling the 6 plus one handed or fitting it in my jean pockets. The regular 6 seems too small for me. Once you got plus you can't go back.

Hengedock? If so please pm me with your thoughts about it. Haven't been able to find any real user experiences.

pretty cool test OP. I got a 14... I went with the 6, but have been tempted by the 6+ whenever I see one... I actually thought about it but in the end I think I am sticking with the 6.

You may be not be able to return the 6 now.

If you got the 6 Plus on the release date and "exchanged" for the 6, they won't return as the original 14 day window is what counts. It doesn't reset when you exchange. There has been countless threads of people running into this problem.

This keeps people from returning every 2 weeks. Just fyi.
