Keep the 6 or go back to the 6 Plus??

I've been paying attention to my habits with my 6 since I started this thread. I'm noticing that I still take my phone out of my pocket when I sit down and have been putting it in my back pocket more often. I also noticed that I use both hands most of the time with my 6. Tonight I got my 6+ case out and it's not much bigger than my 6 in an Otterbox. I'm about 90% positive that I'm going to switch back. I just have to find another 6+. I'm kicking myself for returning my first one now. Thanks everyone!

The Plus is awesome, But I am really satisfied with my 6, got a 64 GB model, the battery life on the 6 is awesome , it can last me basically the whole day or almost the day, and it charges really fast with the iPad charger, couldn't be more satisfied

Well I got a 6 the Monday after release date and have been with it up until today. I went and switched it for a Plus and so glad I did. The more real estate with the screen is just beast and hopefully the battery life will be as good as everyone has been reporting. The 6 battery life wasn't cutting it at all.

Thanks! I actually have the 6 right now and I burn through the battery pretty quick. I took it off the charger at 6 this morning and had to plug it in by 5pm. It's actually plugged in right now.

Yeah I feel ya. Thats what I miss most about the plus.

Are you following all battery tips? Fine tuning the settins? I am also waiting for app updates to iOS 8, and also for the new processors in the phone (Apple A8), battery life and performance will also improve even more from updated apps

Hey everyone, long time reader first time poster here. I hate to start a pointless thread, but I'm having issues deciding what to do for a phone. I camped outside the Apple Store and got a 64GB 6 plus on release day. I loved everything about it except for the fact that it felt super big in my pocket, it seemed heavy (kind of made my wrist sore) and that Otterbox didn't have any cases for it yet.

Last thursday was the end of my 2 week return period and I wasn't totally sure what to do so I exchanged it for a 128GB 6. The 6 is really nice because it feels like my 5s in my pocket, but I really miss the big screen and phenomenal battery life that the 6 plus had. I also bought a Otterbox for it and it feels fine in my pocket.

I am a senior in college and walk about 5 miles a day and sit in class for 3-5 hours per day. I'm used to keeping my phone in my pocket for that whole duration. In the summer I always wear shorts or suits and the 6 plus felt fine in all of those pockets. In the winter I wear mostly dress pants and suits, but when I wear jeans (slim cut) it felt like I had a brick in my pocket.

I've had the 6 for 5 days now and I keep seeing people with the 6, but never the 6 plus. Every time I see someone I think to myself "man I could have kept the 6 plus and been different from everyone else." I just don't know what to do. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!! :)
Staying away from the 6+ and it's uncertain durability is a smart move. Despite the usual denial from Apple and it's cadre of believers, the bending issue wasn't just invented by aliens from Mars. Nor did it appear out of thin air.

In the huge circle of Apple users I have as friends, the 6 is the most prevalent choice with no one dissatisfied. Of that group, conservatively one half started with 6+ models, only to dislike them and switch quickly back to the 6 with confidence.

Yeah I did go through the optimization steps. On a low use day I can get about 12 hours of standby and 8 hours of use and it will have some battery left. On high use days like today I'm going through it within 12 hours.

Haha I thought I had my mind made up until you posted this! Don't get me wrong...I love the 6 but I feel like I'm missing out by not having the plus. I experienced it for two weeks and now miss it.

It just depends. In my close circle, 3 have the plus and 2 have the 6.

Guess we need a Poll!

Switched my 6 for a 6+. Just wasn't happy with the displays i was getting on the 3 units i had. Traded up and now everything's all good.

my two cents, I've never been so indecisive about anything until the 6/6+ decision came along

I pre-ordered a 6 16gb, used it for a week, I returned it and bought a 6+ 16gb, then also bought a 6 64gb, then just sold that and kept the 6+ 16gb. Everyone thought I was mental :).

After using both a while the 6+ won me over with mainly the battery life and yes the screen is a beauty. IME the 6's battery pales in comparison and ultimately what's the point of a great new phone if you're tethered to an adapter to keep re-charging. Like many mentioned the 6 didn't feel like a huge upgrade to me and paying the full cost I wanted to have the iPhone with the best possible specs and the size I have quickly gotten used to. BTW I have had larger phones in the past so it wasn't a big adjustment.

I think you can edit the post as the thread starter and add the poll, which appears under the edit functions. (or you can create a new posting with a poll)

I must be locked out of making polls. Probably since I just joined a few days ago.

Unfortunately the regular iPhone 6 will also bend if too much pressure is applied. Just look at these forums for proof. Buy based on need/want, not based on bendgate.

So if I want to get another 6 plus am I better off returning my 6 and watching my apple stores stock or ordering one online? Still don't know what I'll do for a phone in the mean time though.

Despite my reservations about the 6 Plus, so far I'm glad I switched from the 6. The 6 was just that little bit too big to use comfortably for extended periods in one hand, like I was always tempted to do and my thumbs were killing me. And Add to that the fact I kept trying to use the 6 in landscape mode anyway.

What sealed it for me was that I had planned to use the 6 as a phone, then my iPad as an iPad in my new job. Unfortunately im rushed off my feet so much on the shop floor that I don't have time to rush back and forth my desk to use my iPad air, and it's too big to fit in my suit pocket, while the 6 Plus is big enough to do both jobs and is small enough to fit in my jacket pocket.

We'll see how it turns out over the next week.

i started with a 6 plus but found it a bit too big for everyday use. sold it and bought a 6, but while i appreciate it's slimness and size, i'm just not as happy. i want a 6 plus again, but they're nowhere to be found. :/

How do you guys recommend getting a 6 plus at this point in the game? My Apple Store had two on Tuesday but haven't gotten any since.

I've had the 6+ for 7 days now.

I think it's time to send it back to China. Gorgeous screen and nice battery life. Reality is that I've dealt with a 5's battery for 2 years and I'm sure I will manage just fine with the 6 battery as well.

My biggest complaint is that it's just not comfortable in jean pockets. I think I'd rather deal with the 6. My favorite features are touch id and call quality over VOLTE. Everything else feels the same as my 5.

Correct. The issue was brought about by people bending their phones.

I think if I got a quarter for every time I change my mind about what phone to get I'd be a millionaire by now. Anyways, my plan is to order a no contract T-Mobile 64GB Space Grey 6 or 6+ online. Then I'm going to return my 128GB 6 and watch inventory at the Apple Store to see if they get what I want in. I still haven't made a final ruling on what phone to get. Any other opinions would be greatly appreciated!

I wish I had your problems

After having amazing success selling my first three NIB 6+ for more money than I could have ever imagined, I now have two customers asking me to sell them the smaller 6 model. When I checked with my source, much to my surprise they're immediately available. Just five days ago it was a three week wait, I guess the sales have slowed considerably for only the six. Yet these two customers are very willing to pay enough that my profit margin is as outrageous as that of the 6+. Thanks to rabid impatient buyers I'm making a fortune. :)

Well ladies and gentlemen I just ordered a iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB Space Gray on T-Mobile. Hopefully they truly are unlocked so I can use it on AT&T. I also setup idevice checker to notify me if any become available in the mean time.

I'm still not 100% certain I made the correct decision, but I bit the bullet when I was at 60% after using my 6 for 1.5 hours and had 2.5 hours of standby this morning.
