What's a "regular potato chip"?

I love the Kettle Chips originals and Russet's (dark brown, basically burnt chips), they're so good especially with chili. I have them when i go to work a lot :)

potato chips

I personally love Mike-sell's original potato chips from Ohio. How I dearly miss them and Marion's Supercheese large pizza with extra sauce on the top. Yummy!!:D

nope not for me at all. just don't like them for some reason, can't explain it.

but i do love sun chips, and cheetos. ... especially the Flamin' hot cheetos.

Is it possible to get crinkle-cut crisps in the UK? Haven't seen them for years, not that I've been looking hard, mind.

Debate: Pringles. Crisps/chips or not?

Enquiring minds need to know... it's not as crinkle-cut and dried as it seems. I mean, it's a reconstituted potato snack which doesn't necessarily rule it out. I suggest the 'can' argument is a red herring. ;)

lol... Anchovies as chips.

Chips must come in bags. That's the rules.

I love Ruffles. RUFFLES HAVE RIDGES. :)

But Pringles... Or Lays Stax for that matter. They're more thick and crunchier than regular "classic" Lays chips, but I think they have more flavor, sometimes. It all depends really.

By the way, this thread has given me a craving for chips and I'm going out soon to buy some. Thanks. :D

Utz's ripple chips are better. In fact, I like Utz chips better than Lays in general. Although, my favorite chips are Lays Limited Time Dill Pickle chips. The current Dill chips are crap in comparison.

Okay, here's a weird question. When I have the regular kind of potato chips (no flavor), I sometimes dip them in ketchup. I love ketchup, and many people put it on their french fries. And french fries are basically like very thick and softer potato chips... right? So, does anyone else do that?

Yep, they taste very much like french fries that way.

The Robust Russet one's from Cape Cod are excellent. Can't get them over here though :(

Oh they're not burnt though! Its the kind of potato that makes them go so dark during the frying. Check it out: http://capecodchips.com/products/chips.aspx

ketchup is simply an abomination on a good chip. If you're chip needs ketchup, you're eating the wrong chip.
