Okay, here's a weird question. When I have the regular kind of potato chips (no flavor), I sometimes dip them in ketchup. I love ketchup, and many people put it on their french fries. And french fries are basically like very thick and softer potato chips... right? So, does anyone else do that?

If I feel like having chips with ketchup, I go for Ketchup Lays ^_^ (Canada has the weirdest chip flavors)

I'm a big fan of Cape Cod's Robust Russet already mentioned by others.

I've heard you put gravy on your chips (fries) over there... what kind of gravy? The UK has some weird crisp flavours too. Pickled onion, worcestershire sauce, prawn cocktail... and of course there is all the 'gourmet' ones as well. Had some nice ones over Xmas: cranberry and stilton.

I've seen those! They were in the U.S. for a very short while too, I think. I still have yet to try them.

But yes, I'm a ketchup freak. I put ketchup on lots of things. That's also why I don't buy regular chips that much. They're too plain.

Gravy on fries as in "poutine?" Yup. Love the stuff. It's a special kind of gravy, often made especially for poutine. It varies from place to place. "Hot Chicken" sandwich sauce, if you have that in UK is the closest relative to poutine sauce. Want me to FedEx you a can? :D For the cheeze curds you're on your own. It has to be fresh of the day.

Definitely more classy than some of the flavors I've seen out here.:

- Hot Dog
- Poutine
- Ketchup
- Pizza
- BBQ Ribs
- Buffalo Wings
- Curry
- Bacon
- Dill pickle
- All Dressed
- Au Grattin
- Sour Cream & Onion

I have yet to visit UK. Way overdue. I'll try to make a stop by the end of the decade. should be an interesting culinery experience. yum.

However, the finest crisps money can buy are Seabrooks, especially the salt and vinegar flavour. And BV – they're crinkle cut. :)

If you did the photo spread, kudos on your arrangement of those naked chips. If you simply pulled it from somewhere else, you have a fine eye for spud art.

Kettle chips are criminally delicious.
EDIT: The cheese and onion kind, especially.

Shame I missed the first three pages of this thread. I get a delivery of Kettle Chips every month- they are heavenly. I normally get the BBQ ones but all their flavors are great.

How, pray tell, do you get a shipment every month (and where do you live? just the address and delivery date will suffice)? Is there a chip of the month club that no one is advertising. Do you get a free chip bowl with the chip of the month club? Will they call you and offer you 2 free bowls if you agree not to reduce your shipments or cancel the service? Just the thought leaves me spuddering.

Kettle Chips are lovely

But the best crisps in the world were Smiths Salt and Shake

Walkers/Lays took over about 4 years back and totally ruined them.

I actually do also like Pringles. I'm not 100% sure I consider them a proper potato chip or crisp. But I like them. :D

Oh, and I had Jimmy Chips today... jalapeno. Mmmm.... :)

The only kids who used to have those crisps when I was at school were those that got bullied.

Looking back I realise how right they were.

Especially when Walkers were giving away £10 in the same blue packets, great fun (when i was 10) to quickly put my salt in someone's Walkers and watch them scream and shout only to realize that it is only salt.

Such a shame that Walkers took them over.
