But it is streamed so you can't download it. My solution:

<solution snipped>

But it's not a live stream, it's being re-broadcasted so there is a .mov file living somewhere...

edit: looks like some people found it, so you can use iMovie + iDVD to get it to DVD.

INCREASE THE BANDWIDTH APPLE!!

Why don't Apple increase the bloody bandwidth?

They must know this was going to happen.

The UK site is v e r y unresponsive and i gave up on the Keynote as it stuck fast after 45 seconds.

Pah

Thank you so much, this is way past awesome! :D

Hell yeah, the feed crapped out on me so I switched over to this which I had downloaded when I first saw the link...Pretty good quality...not good enough to put onto DVD though :( unless someone else has an idea to sharpen it? :)

is it just me or is the entire internet bulging under the surge of new apple products and users trying to watch this keynote? I dunno... it's not JUST the apple and rumor sites that seem to be straining... maybe some kinda DoS is underway...? :S

They've done this for the last x number of years - it's never been THIS bad... so maybe they just foresaw greater user interest this year??

great keynote. finally got through it with only one break in the video.

now downloading the hires version, tempted to put it up on my servers if there continue to be problems streaming it from apple... unlikely there will still be problems tho!

Does anyone know how I can download this? I want to burn it on a DVD and watch with friends.

I know of a way but it really isn't good. Use Snapz Pro from Ambrosia

Play the stream while capturing the video with Snapz Pro. Now you have a quicktime version of it. Pop it into iDVD and burn. It will take 2 hours to play the keynote, then time to save it (fairly significant especially based on your computer), then time to encode and burn in iDVD.

Like I said not good but it will work. The final quality isn't great either.

You can just use this URL:

Download it, save it, and import it into iDVD.

Hey, the first time that the stock widget was shown, there was one stock shown going down and everyone laughed. Was that MS, I couldn't read it.

I just finished the Keynote. I'll be honest, it is the first one I watched.

Steve REALLY knows how to put on a show. I've never found a speech so entertaining, and it clocked in at the length of a movie!

I would love to see one of these in person...quite the spectacle.

Thanks for uploading that movie for us

I'm willing to put this up on my server if it is legal. Does anybody know if putting this on a private server is legal, or am I going to get a letter from Apple Legal?

Nice stream...

I just remembered when that 'bug' thing happened to Mr. Bill Gates a while ago showing Win 95. Everyone was making fun of him, trashing him, etc... but since it is Mr. Jobs... no problem: it is funny, let's have fun and applaud... jejejeje... :)

You will probably get sued.

Since watching the first 30 minutes was so flakey, I decided to watch it again once I downloaded it but I wanted to get to the good stuff, so I just watched the first 30 minutes in fast-forward. Steve sounds like Alvin from the chipmunks. Scary.

you can say what you like about the keynote but it don't half make me proud to be an apple owner. :D

and make me want to fork out for new things..

Geeking out

I actually hooked up my PowerBook's video and audio out to my A/V receiver and presented the movie full screen on my TV. There were a few moments when it froze, but since I was expecting this, I simply restarted the stream.

(I still can't believe I did that. :) )
I have a feeling if it weren't for my DSL, which has been iffy lately, I would have had a better experience. I can't wait till next year when they'll probably be streaming in H.264 and maybe, just maybe, I'll have FIOS service

I hadn't really grasped how small the Mac mini was until he held it in the palm of his hand and brought out the box.

I'll have to try downloading the file.
