Wondering if this is your opinion because it's 3am. When you say you fix Mac's and PC's. Which do you fix more often? Which is easier to fix? Which do you enjoy fixing more?
I would probably spend about 50% of my time on each. Some days all I fix are PCs, some days just Apples. However, the Macs account for less than a third of the computers in the organisation (used by designers, with Photoshop and Quark). Now that dual 2.5ghz Powermacs are being rolled out throughout the company, we'll hopefully have fewer problems. God forbid anything goes wrong with them, cos it's nearly brain surgery to pull them apart (you have to be Apple certified).
Common problems I fix with PCs are: spyware, software corruption. Spyware is an educational issue - people being unaware that you should not click 'download' to every window that pops up on a computer. With Internet Explorer (eww!) replacements such as Firefox, spyware is HUGELY less of a problem now in the PC world. In my org though, we have to remain 'industry standard', so IE is still used... sigh.
Common problems I fix with Macs are: hardware failure, software corruption. Hardware failure is generally related to age - nothing unusual there - most of the components are the same used in PCs anyway. Software corruption - well, everything corrupts once in a while, no matter what system it's running on.
I still can't decide whether I have a preferred system, so on my desk at work I have a PC and a Mac sitting side by side. I adore OS X for its simplicity and 'play with me' appeal. Windows XP appeals for its compatibility with software, hardware and its 'no bells and whistles' approach...
