If it acts a full phone, then I can maybe (and that's a big maybe) see this being useful for those road warriors forced to carry both a personal and business cell phone. Be at least one way to combine down to kind of one device.

Otherwise... useless.
256GB storage, extra battery and Android are useless?

Pass.

I'm not sure why on earth anybody would find this worth the trouble and expense. I've never run into a situation where I found myself pining for the Android version of any app I use. Even the Google apps work well enough on an iPhone. About the only thing I can think of is to use the Android screen for throwaway situations, such as kids playing games.

Kind of like 2-in-1 Shampoo+Conditioner. iOS+Android. One is poo.
I like Android and iOS but I got a laugh out of your analogy. I hate 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioners because every one I've tried does a half-a##ed job of being either a shampoo or a conditioner and I just end up with greasy feeling hair. So I'm afraid this little kickstarter project is going to be about the same kind of experience. It looks a bit messy. I'd need a bigger pocket!

This is crazy.

However it could be useful for someone who is required to have a separate work/business phone. That way you can still just carry 'one' device.

Considering 38 Android devices come pre-installed with malware (https://arstechnica.com/security/20...lware-targets-android-users-of-two-companies/) I think I'll pass.
Jeezerz. I hate you for posting that link. It's a rabbit hole and I fell into it and now I want to yell unflattering things about Big Brother that Alexa will hear and report back to our overlords and I'll end up on a list somewhere. There's got to be a list of derpy housewives somewhere. I'm surely on it.

In all seriousness venturing on the links from that one article is one of the most disheartening things I've done in awhile.

Doesn't take much to piss you off, huh?
I'm not saying they are that incredibly different, but I can still see some rare cases, where this case (see what I did there?) can be of some use. Similar to BootCamp on macOS - if you have an app that you need that only runs on Android or something... Though I can't think of what that'd be - though I have plenty of examples of the reverse, so maybe if you're an Android person who needs an iOS app? I don't know - I'm sure there are someone out there who'd be happy to have it though. Not for the average Joe, but you know

Why not just buy an inexpensive Android OS Phone, if one has the occasional need? Not that two phones size and weight would weigh one down a significant amount.

This product certainly wouldn't be for me. But I do see the concept behind it and it is interesting. I'm sure will be able to a very small demographic, if it ever expands beyond a kick starter.

And Grumpy Mom, is that you in your avatar picture? I didn't know you smoked. /S

Don't see the benefit in real life. Far easier to just carry two phones if really needed.

Next they will release a case for your iPhone in a phone case with a blue only AMOLED running DOS

What if iphone has dual SIM cards?
Is there any other compelling usage case showing the value of "fusing" two OS in one device?

A case like this one sort of compares to stepping on a dirty segment of toilet paper and inadvertently
dragging it with your feet, while everyone around you laughs at you.

[doublepost=1489558177][/doublepost]I'm going to invent a spoon than bends when you look at it... Oh wait...! "There's no spoon"

If one wanted Androidy features, wouldn't it have been easier to simply just buy an Android phone to begin with? It's not like they're expensive in the first place. They are a dime a dozen, especially the cheap Asian-market ones.

I think it's pretty cool. Not sure I would use it, but definitely interesting for tech enthusiasts who enjoy android, and who like iOS but are frustrated with it's limitations.

Personally I disagree with those that are saying silly things like "andriod is inferior" COME ON! Both have their strong points, and all I can say is ask Siri what it thinks.. o wait... it won't understand you.

Android has come a long way and it surpasses iOS in some regards. Competition is good, and if it wasn't for Android, Apple would have completely stopped innovating. Android will keep getting better and this will keep Apple on it's toes, because the lame duck CEO sure isn't doing it!
