What revolution when he's controlling all the military? Like Tiananmen revolution perhaps? You're kidding yourself if you think that's gonna happen.
You might not be up to date if you don't think Xi has consolidated his power almost absolutely. He will be chairman (communist party doesn't have president. Don't give him that credential) for life.
The Canadian presidents are also president for life, and Singaporeans too, did you know that? It’s the Americans that are the oddballs here
Xi has consolidated power people have given him under the premises that he performs.
China is a civilization state, it only had absolute governments, and it’s natural for them. Just like Apple can only have 1 CEO and 1 Chairman of the Board, and 1 Board. Xi is like an Emperor, except his children don’t become princes and princesses, and he doesn’t get to keep 3000+ concubines.
Emperors are the king of kings, and obviously controlled all military command powers of all kingdoms in China and subordinate to China. Even then, name name one dynasty or emperor in China that couldn’t be terminated via a revolution.
Tiananmem was not a revolution, it was a demonstration. The rise of Maoist communist China was a revolution. The French Revolution was a revolution. Same in America, name one revolution after the American Revolution? No, BLM was also a demonstration.
Why do you see Beijing panic when the job market performance indices dip, or the GDP slows down, or when the initial COVID management was disastrous? It’s because they know if they don’t perform, they will not be voted out but kicked out.
You think Beijing doing a miraculously good job of managing COVID after the the initial backlash was because it loves the people? They might, that may be a factor, but a more pragmatic reason is to cover their asses.
