Thanks, my brother is a police officer so I will forward it to him and see if he can take it further. I'll ring the Apple Store in Norwich too. I hate vandalism like this and actions need consequences. :)

Kids are now bending iPhones in Apple Stores

If apple made sturdier phones, kids would'nt be bending iphones.

This argument is wrong. However strong or weak, or otherwise the iPhone might be, this gives no legitimacy or valid reason for destroying others property.

You are essentially saying a thief can steal your car from your garage driveway if you left your car doors unlocked. That's how your logic stands.

Why are these kids coming late to the party. Everyone knows the Plus bends. Why do they need to show off about it?

You gonna bend my car??

honestly getting these kids into trouble is probably better for the long run for them.

it'll discourage them from doing more serious crimes later, like committing GTA, arson, or murder and them posting it online. lol

I personally think were being a little too hypocritical here considering that 80% of this forum is now dedicated to the bending issue. If I would have to guess, a large portion of Apple Customers have already thought about seeing for themselves if the 6 Plus bends at a local Apple store. I know dam well that I thought about trying it for myself, I paid over a $1000,00 dollars for my unlocked 6 Plus and I love it and refuse to return it but I would still like to feel how much pressure this phone would take to bend, I want to enjoy the phone, not babysit it because I'm afraid of bending it.

I don't think there was anyone who looked forward to the 6 Plus more then i did, i had this design and screen size on my mind for 4 years and I patiently waited for it to be released but ultimately Apple goofed up with this one and needs to address the concern.

This is not the first time bendgate happened with Apple, the 5th generation iPods which are also very thin devices with a similar design as the iPhone 6 and 6 plus were also bending. They could have easily used that data and improved on this design.

As for reporting these kids to the police, i think thats the dumbest thing Ive ever heard, their dumb kids, not criminals and I HIGHLY doubt Apple would prosecute two 14 year old kids for seeing if their products bend, I'm sure Apple would love that to be in the press. Wise up people...seriously.

and when other kids see apple does nothing all the stores around the world get kids bending iPhones and youtube is flooded with videos of them doing it. is that when you put a stop to it?

If anyone still wants to see the vid, found it here:
http://mirror.ninja/o4ni

I found the video quite informative. I don't think it's just a prank.

These are young kids without a lot of muscle power--not that people have much muscle power in their hands to begin with.

And they easily broke the phone. Now, that amount of pressure wouldn't happen from the phone being in your pants—but it's the same type of pressure from being in a pocket, and assuming you keep it in your pocket every day, I could see this adding up to premature damage to the phone.

I'll be interested to see if Apple starts manufacturing these slightly differently—changing the internal reinforcements, for example.

you forgot to add

that wasn't theres. That they didn't pay for. That is now ruined.

Seriously man, it's just pointless arguing with some around here. Incredibly thick!!

I take it with a grain of salt, but I agree, it's totally pointless. The signal vs noise ratio is getting very bad as of late.

By fixing the Phone which I'm sure Apple is already doing silently as they did the 4's Antenna.

Apple doesn't give two craps about some kids bending phones, even if kids all around the world bend 10,000 phones - that the profit loss of a hair on a flys ass for Apple.

Right now Apple is more focused on the other 50 to 70 Million iPhone 6's floating around out there and finding a solution for this mess. Im curious to see how Tim Cooks handles this because it is obviously not going away anytime soon like I thought it would.

If there's one thing I hate more than adults littering, its stupid kids committing vandalism

I bet if they kicked the door of a Bentley, it would bend.

Obviously Bentley's are TOO bendable!

LOL

I love this analogy :D

I completely Agree with you 100% - The kids are nowhere near as strong as the adults bending these phones in other videos. In my opinion they did nothing criminal here. There is a global rumor now that these phones bend and the kids are consumer and have every right to test the product as they see fit if its offered on display to test.

What should be the topic of discussion here is not prosecuting a couple of kids but more so that a couple of kids were able to bend a premium device that claims to be made of the finest materials in the world and super durable.

That video is no more informative than the video's that already exist of the iPhone bending. Video's I must add that were carried out on iPhone's that had been purchased officially and were being used to demonstrate the issue.

This video showed two teenagers walk into a shop and commit criminal damage to a number of products that they had no intention of buying. They probably caused a couple of thousand pounds worth of damage and its completely wrong. Apple may be a multi billion pound company, but this sort of vandalism is completely uncalled for and I hope they are caught.

Any informative merit is lost from this video because it involves criminal activity and its been reported to both Apple and Norwich police.

Absolute rubbish.
You don't walk into a shop and test display products to destruction. It is not the consumers right to do that. If this was okay, many companies would go out of business through waste and spoilage! You can not steal products from a shop because it costs the business money, and vandalising products on display also costs money so it is also a criminal offence.

Nobody has the right to vandalise goods in a shop, nobody.
