This is marketing and this story is reporting on marketing. Sure it’s Apple marketing but this is all intentional from their marketing team.

Yeah, I'm sure a Rolls Royce on a factory installed wheel/tire package rides rough. i mean, what is Rolls known for if not their rough, uncomfortable tide.

For someone that's made so many posts in this thread alone bemoaning the inescapable idiocy - you sure make a lot of nonsensical comments.

Gosh, thanks. And I didn't get you anything...

I do not like her nor do I care about the products she pushes. It is sad others do.

Weak people are looking for idols. They will follow almost anyone as an idol. They will follow them over a cliff. They will buy anything they represent. It's embarrassing, but it makes the people behind it all a whole lot of money, millions, billions...

People also look for leaders, people who will allow them to not think, someone to follow. History is filled with people that others have followed, and both positive and largely negative effects of that idolatry. It's sad that so many humans don't like to think for themselves. That want someone else to tell them how to live their lives. I don't know how I ended up so 'sane'...

But I've had my moments in my youth. The need to 'fit in' is strong I guess. *shrug*

And I'm just overwhelmed by the whole 'influencer' game. People, empty headed simpletons usually, running around demanding perks for being seen with some new bling item, or being seen at some location. Crazy... How to make money by doing as little as possible. Sounds nuts, and people are addicted to them. We are so doomed.

EDIT: They have grown so powerful in some genres, they can effect a vendor's stock price.

this is absolutely not a different arrangement than what top billed athletes have. people get sponsorships in various industries because their presence and presentation is eminent, and attracts attention.

you're "overwhelmed" by "the whole" "influencer" "game"(what does that last part even mean....?) because someone who you arbitrarily find to be beneath you, is found worthy of a lot of people's attention, and they're making stupid amounts of money by existing.

in reality, you're just overwhelmed that you're (supposedly, based on the comment "doing as little as possible) working the grind, and they're successful doing "less."

Oh, get off it. An athlete WORKS for their adulation. A 'Kardashian class' entity is a walking talking attention whore. They don't 'do' anything, they love the attention, and are products of 'reality TV', the crack cocaine of the slack jawed people that are transfixed on the 'box'.

Chris Froome rides that bike like he stole it. 35 and 40 MPH on a bicycle? Put a Kardashian on a bike, and I doubt they would know what to do with it. A football star, Bret Farve, can hit someone with a thrown football. I seriously completely doubt that the average 'influencer' would know how to throw a football.

Sorry, attention whores do rate lower in my opinion. It's a fantasy, a fraud...

It’s not jealousy. It’s the sad fact that people really so tuned into these social influencers and care what they think. Talk about a dysfunctional family. ?

Oversize clothes. One of those fashions that will come and go pretty damn quick. I hope!

HAH!!! I grew up when wide wale corduroy was in style. And, if that doesn't shock you, bell bottom wide wale corduroy too! Buckle-back jeans. Stacked shoes for men. Macrame belts. Jean jackets. Suspenders. Overalls. Pajama tops as clothes.

I've lived long enough to see a lot of it come back. I saw those wide wale cords on the rear end of a young girl a few years ago. You have to realize that here is no way that ANYONE'S rear end looks skinny in those atrocious creations. I laughed. That poor girl... Sure, it takes time for people to realize how silly that stuff is, but is part of the process. They lead people by their figurative noses from one 'must have' to another.

But whatever. I've made enough comments. Beats PAID her to wear them, or PAID her to use her image to c&p the buds onto her ears. Who knows which is the truth. She causes people to comment positively or negatively, and she earns the same amount of money no matter which way it goes. She might actually love the negative attention more. Who knows...

EDIT: My point was wide wale cords lasted YEARS! Way too long! WAY WAY TOO LONG!!! (Take it from me)
:p:D

that is capitalizing heavily on people just talking about them. the irony behind your judgement is the blatant fact that you help perpetuate it. congrats?

Ha ha, I love your profile signature.

I still feel that people are missing the idea that from the angle of the picture, there is less than zero chance of them staying on/in her head. Cut and paste, or glue, they would not stay in!

Look at the picture of the new buds, and then look at this one. IMPOSSIBLE...

So, did Beats just literally glue them onto her head, or cut and paste them. Hmm... This kind of marketing is just crap. 'Hey, LOOKIE!!! KK is showing you how to NOT use our product'?

It makes me wonder as to Apple's (Beats') direction for advertising. It's so fake... Its so pathetic... It's so desperate...

Looking at the OP pics, those 'wings' angle inward. What's holding them in? The vacuum? Glue? My original dislike of this is the appearance. Sure, it's also her, but it just makes the whole thing look so 'stupid'. Or her ears are oddly developed. Wearing them (if that is a real image) like that makes me think the 'wings' are pointless to the design. Mere handles, nothing purposeful, helpful, needed, necessary to retain them in an ear. I feel they did themselves a disservice publishing this. Sure some, many(?), will buy them because of that picture, but I will be far more skeptical of them being better than the first version. THAT was my point... They don't look right, 'glued' on her head. Yikes...
