I vote for this thread to be Wastelanded. The OP was told how to handle this and is just looking for some publicity. That is all :)

By the way, there's really no need for you to put your name in thread titles. People will figure it out easily enough.

I told you how it should be handled in the post #2
After that, there was really no need for more discussion

Here is what is wrong:

- Charity or not, trying to give something outside the Marketplace is against the rules.

The fix:

- Put the thread in the Marketplace.

Also, yes, some mods do have power trips. However, just do what I said and your whole debacle should be solved.

The OP at least deserves an explanation and if he talked to the mods would receive one. The reason, in my mind, why you are not allowed to sell outside the marketplace is that its unfair competition to those who are restricted to sell inside. As worthy as your cause is, its still falling foul of the rules.

I posted a question on here just before xmas and it went unanswered. So I did the usual "Can anyone help?" bump.

I went back a few hours later and noticed that my bump hadn't actually submitted, so I tried again.

A few hours after that I had been suspended for three days for "Re-bumping a thread after the first bump had been removed." How was I supposed to know it had been removed?! Not to mention the fact that, in the rules, bumping is considered a 'Minor Problem' along with chatiness, failing to search and common sense (tonnes of people should be suspended for that one in that case). I think this suspension without warning was the perfect example of a mod on a power trip.

I wrote a very polite message to the mods which went ignored.

In order to promote your personal sale either here or elsewhere on the web on MR, you need 250 posts and to be a member for 6 months. Since you don't yet fulfill this requirement, your post was not allowed. It doesn't matter if it's for charity or not.
