I am putting my iPad 2 up for sale. The kindle turned out to have just wanted I needed - a PDF reader and fruit ninja haha.

That was all I was using my iPad 2 for since I got my iPhone and the iTether app.

I figured selling now is good anyway with the 3rd generation coming out soon. That and kindle fires play emulators for game cube, genesis and 64 games. Starfox and animal crossing on the fire?? I am in.

Kindle Fire not a total failure

The iPad is ranked 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8 on the top sellers, so as a whole it's still beating the Fire by a huge margin. Still, I'm pretty impressed.

Of course we all know iPad still outselling Fire.

And they are keeping the iPad!

(wait until he discovers those emulators are not available on the Amazon store!)

Thought about getting another Android tablet, WITH 16GB and camera, for $149?

Duh.

I already knew that. Usually people who know about emulators, usually know about their nonexistence in pre-canned, stock software and the requirement to obtain them from less than reputable sources...

What other android tablet would you suggest at the same price point. Who cares about a camera? Who needs 16gb when pdfs barely take up space and the existence of iphones/ipods etc.

Those are all 10" devices. And looking at the same sites recommendations on 7"
look abysmal. Any other possibilities in the same price range with the same specs?

You might want to look at the Lenovo IdeaPad A1 (That's the 7" model; the K1 is the 10" model.) It's currently on sale for $249. It was $199 over the weekend and you may still be able to get that price if you speak to Lenovo.

P.S. Just checked the Lenovo website and the $199 price is still showing although it is not recognizing the coupon in checkout. I'm sure they'll honor the price, however, if you use the "speak to a rep" option that appears when you're configuring the device.

That list was what I found in 10 seconds of searching, but it was to prove a point of lower cost tabs.

Do a search with the features you want, like 7" Android tablet, and you have some options.
