'Knock' iOS App Uses Bluetooth 4.0 to Replace Password Unlocking on Macs

Hi! I did download the new version (seems to be 1.0.5 at the moment) but it didn't solve the problem. I'll try to test this with another phone during the weekend, but I did however send the logs to you once again.

The update to the Mac software fixed my connection issue. It works great know.

The app works fine for a couple of hours but then it stops working. About the time I have to key in my password, a dialog box appears asking for a sys admin ok to install finish-installation.

Comparison to bluetooth unlock

This is a really awesome app, works like a charm on my rMBP13 and iP5s. The setup process is as smooth as it gets and really well and beautifully done.

I also tried “Bluetooth Unlock” (Mac app store, 2$), which should lock my screen and unlock it when I move away and to my Macbook. But uses normal bluetooth, and I cannot pair my phone to my computer (tried a few times, don’t want to troubleshoot). It works when I use my Magic Trackpad just for testing, walking away with it locks the screen, walking towards the my workplace unlocks it magically. So far so good. But I fear that normal Bluetooth will use too much battery, so I’ll stay with knock (although automatic wake-up of the other app is VERY smooth…)

Is there also a way to make Knock lock my mac when I move out of range?
