Helping?

Our hard wired need to bring everything to justice is an all too simplistic reaction. I applaud and condone international intervention. However, is this what the people of affected nations want? This may sound like a rhetorical question at first, but consider...

Many children in the army still have living relatives, these relatives don't want more blood shed, they want amnesty for their child. Are we to send in forces to slaughter through the ranks of Kony's army to get to him? What is the actual "cost" of this "justice" to appease our selfish feelings?

Millions of children are dying in Africa from hunger. As much of a war criminal Kony is, he is currently providing shelter and food to these children. Would all these mindless twitterer and Facebook addicts care what happens to these children after Kony is no longer breathing; the very crux of this whole movement?

I need not mention other much worthier cause as it has been repeated countless times with a simple google search for Kony.

I also encourage those interested to know the facts (not that this would help the situation in these affected nations). Kony's army is currently no more than a few hundred. 30,000 is a number that has long past, the combination of all these years. We are decades late and that can't be fixed.

I still support the capture of Kony but would like to know what happens afterwards. My post is still just scraping the surface of a very complex topic; too complex to even be described by words alone.

"Kony" is a CIA operation. He's not real.

Not sure what they are doing over there, but it's probably related to some "war on terror" campaign.
