Ming-Chi Kuo's predictions are not perfect, but they are more accurate than anyone else's.
Agreed. He was one of the few who publicly expressed doubt about how unrealistic M2 MacBook Pro was while nearly everyone else was busy fantasizing about it.

yes, think about what apple can do if they follow their own strategy from not so long time ago with the iphones...Honestly, the M1 is a good chip even though it's 2 years old now.
The M1 MacBook Air was a game changer for me, crisp display, very nice keyboard, nice microphones, absolutely silent no matter what, battery lasts longer than a working day. I actually just bring a small power bank when I'm out for longer.
I like the tapered design, makes the hard edge on the bottom a non-issue unlike the MacBook Pros. I'd rather have an M1 with more RAM and storage than a redesign where you don't know the design flaws yet.
Makes you wonder if they will bring out model below the Air, the “MacBook”
This would align with iPad category
I too vote for the orange model, it's my only hope.I am interested in the possible orange model.
Yep, and USD 1600 (where I live) for a 512GB MacBook Air is more than expensive enough for a laptopMBA is the most practical for most people.
That depends on the life of the M1 model now doesn’t it. I’m guessing M2 wont appear until next year unless the Mac Pro ships with it. Then it will trickle down to refreshed products throughout 2023 and 2024. With production shortages being what they are, keeping as many products on one chip design is the smart thing to do, the chip production is mature and will have higher yields than switching over to new chips and process Plus its not like there is a lack of performance in M1.Not having the M2 inside the refreshed Airs would be pretty dumb...
Yes. You will pay for the new design with the same internals from 2 years ago.Lol wut? They release it with a M1 in nov 2020 and in later 2022 it’s gonna be redesigned with the same chip when an iPad Air will also have the same chip???
I just want black. Is that really asking too much?
Wow, you should seek help.I mean, sorry, listening to Apple Music so you can listen to all of that hiphop in spatial audio. Took a trial of AM and I'm going back to Spotify, so tired of all of that yo yo yo motherf*** -music. It doesn't matter what I choose to play, as soon as the selected content ends it's always back to hiphop, rap and other garbage. I wanted to like apple music, but I rather support Joe Rogan than fight with Apple Music anymore.
current M1 macbook air doesnt that alreadyGive me a macbook air that can run two days without charge at the current M1 performance levels and I'm interested. Even better, make it cheaper than the current M1 model at the same performance level and I'm even more interested.
It makes the most sense that it would be M1 actually, as their strategy seems to be to build a multicore unit for base configs (iPad, Macbook Air) and then compose multiple units for more powerful machines. It seems unlikely they'd put out the M2 first in the most powerful configuration and then cut it down for later models. They've already been putting out the "smallest" A-series processors in iPhones first for years.Huh? All I heard was that Ultra is the final chip in the M1 family. If anything that tells me that the Mac Pro will *not* be powered by an M1.
what are you even talking about? It makes the most sense that it would be M1 actually, as their strategy seems to be to build a multicore unit for base configs (iPad, Macbook Air) and then compose multiple units for more powerful machines. I expect the Mac Pro will be a chassis capable of holding / cooling multiple M1 Ultras, either 2 or 4, with a base config of just one (but more powerful than the high-end Studio due to better cooling).
If it’s from Kuo, I’d wager he’s probably about ~60% accurate with his predictions. And when you look at his batting average, that’s pretty good, given his trajectory over the years. He has more ‘rights than wrongs’ with the iPhone, but I don’t think he’s far off with this specific rumor/prediction.So we are supposed to believe this rumor...right?
that M2 MBP for yesterday was a rumored by digitimes...so 0% chances, and heres your proofI could see an M1X designated chip, but wow, this is an interesting change in rumors. It was M2 with a lot of people expecting the M2 in the 13“ MacBook Pro launching yesterday. I can’t imagine keeps the same chip in the MacBook Air 2 years after launch while redesigning it.
