“For example, a person walking in an outdoor shopping plaza could easily view each store's hours of operation.“

Or you could just look at the directory.

A prediction about what Apple might release in the 30s is so absurdly pointless. I mean, really.
Sure is a waste of time macrumors loves Ming kuo for some reason.
Pretty soon he should let us know apple will be releasing new iPhones in the fall with faster processor and better cameras, can't wait for that post

Don’t forget the 2040s where injectables will be super hip. Apple will sell the iInject for .0000178172 bitcoin, and then they’ll lock off the inject store to just their approved injects.
U sure about that? Seems very dumb

This doesnt make sense. You look through contacts. You can't focus or look at something in the contact since it moves when you move your eye. I can't imagine the possibility to focus on peripheral vision as part of this.

..aand just like that Kuo cemented the fact that I think their predictions are ridiculous.

There have been rumors and patents pointing to Apple researching VR or AR glasses, but not anything like AR contact lenses.

Furthermore, all contact lenses block off your eyes from breathing properly and cause dry eyes in most people to some extent. I’m pretty sure no tech company wants to touch all the medical issues that will ensure from wearing a plastic disc on your eyes for several hours a day.

And don’t tell me there’s also a ventilation system inside these lenses. There’s not contacts with displays and ventilation inside them in 2031.

Manufacturers across the industry are struggling to put out feasible, usable AR glasses that don’t weight several hundred grams in the next 5-10 years while keeping them in a price category and with a battery size that’s actually attractive.

Does nobody at Kuo wear contacts?

"hey, look at this!
- hold on, I'm updating my eyes"

I know your comment is meant to be funny, but in 10 years lot of things would have changed in terms of technology. Things may not be updated similar away as they do now. We will be one step closer to singularity (for better or worse)

You know you’re desperate for Rumors when you report stuff that “may happen” in 10 years.

How would you even power something like that and secondly not have it cause retinal cancer Etc? I’d be happy if I can use my phone/ watch for two days without a charge and they’re saying they’ll have a battery small enough to fit in contact lens to last a whole day? I call bullocks.

Don't know what is worse?
kuo sending letter or macrumrors posting it.
Live to do a poll.
I don't even know the purpose of this article.

More than 10 years, articles said the 2030's
That's what made me laugh.
Only thing is Last time I critiqued some spelling and grammar in a macrumors article and it was a 2 month suspension

As someone who wore contact lenses for almost a decade and had lasik after to get rid of it, this is a hard pass. Not even if they paid me to wear them.

Apple may do lots of things. No point speculating about something that might happen in 10 or 15 years.

Lenses will be made specifically for Jony Ive's eyes. If anyone has problems with this product, it's their fault for not having the proper anatomy.

Police departments may soon try to prevent anyone from even looking at police.

I think he made this one up

This is the main reason I stick to Android, at least I get to try new tech years before apple releases it
