The typical Apple customer, looking for the newest gadget.

A prediction about what Apple might release in the 30s is so absurdly pointless. I mean, really.
OMG, YES! But that goes for ALL the breathless reporting on ”The Amazing World of Future Tech” - it’s not limited to Apple. And not even limited to tech - the same about medicine - amazing claims made for how very soon we’ll cure this, and have that, and prolong life and whatnot.

It’s all bunk. It’s all headline making selling papers, getting clicks, looking for investors and son on.

I’m OLD. I’ve seen this picture before. So many promises, nothing ever comes of them.

Chalk this one up to yet another hype machine promise of a wonderful future of flying cars, cured cancer, immortality and fusion power - and apparently VR Apple lenses. Feh!

Now I walk into a Costco with my iPhone on my belt which is thousands of times faster then...
W-w-w-w-wait! 1995 called. It wants it's cellular phone belt-clip back. Do you have one on the other side of your belt holding a beeper too? 😬 OK...just having fun with that one!😃

OOOOOH...me too! OK, let's see! I predict that in the 2030's Nintendo will actually have an IRL sentient Mario cap that can brain-control an actual cloned T-Rex.

I just don't see how something that small could have enough power. But I guess the 2030s is quite a long way off still.

Anyone can make an ignorant comment, (including me), but I get amused by some of the comments from people who think they understand enough about light refraction and projection to be able to make comments on how these things are "not possible" if you understand physics. Ignorance is bliss I guess. Having graduated from college and having taken a few physics classes makes everyone an expert.

Totally agree. But this is the ‘norm’ of how people [Specifically members on here think], they can’t accept and process things they don’t understand, therefore they ‘make fun of future technology’ mock it, or shun it all together. Like...’This technology can’t exist because it’s too far out...’

I don’t understand why people can’t be open minded and think creatively of how this could benefit the future in a variety of ways. I guess it’s just easier for others to jump on the ‘bandwagon’ and have a glib outlook that this can’t happen because ‘No one will use this..’

This is an about Kuo’s prediction, it’s about realizing that there is potential behind this technology and no one here and I mean no one, truly understands the future holds.

What we do know, is this technology is nowhere near ready and won’t be for quite some time, but it’s certainly believable and for those who actually expand their minds to understand that, Understand to think beyond the scope of this could be a part our future. And for that, I embrace it.

What would be real funny is if this were Apple's "One More Thing" this October during their iPhone event.

Highly doubt there will be a viable method to provide power to AR contact lenses by the 2030’s. Maybe some form of solar ... the cells would need to be minuscule though. Maybe it’ll happen. Would be really cool if it did, but overall I’m skeptic.

This sounds obsolete even now. The whole point of something like neural link is to bypass our slow senses. Who is going to screw around with contact lenses when you can have AR piped right into your brain?
