Not surprising. Inflation is hitting everything right now.

Still, starting the phone above that magical $999 mark is one of those 'psychological' things that could hurt sales.
The question is whether it matters?

It's not a low-end product. Certainly there are some weirdly price-conscious people for whom spending 10% more for a $1K phone they don't really need is a turnoff, but I feel like if you really want a Pro you're going to get it, the same way there are people plunking down top dollar for maxed, er, Maxes right now.

I want to pay more. Just because you don't want to pay more, don't assume everyone wants the same features as you? Ok?

Your reply doesn't make sense. It is like saying, if Apple doesn't increase in price, then there won't be new features.

But why would you want pay more? If you can get iPhone with all the features at same price, why would you want pay more?

Gotta keep raising the price otherwise poor people might be in our ecosystem. Those green bubbles are important to know who not to associate with.

I am completely kidding but I love the Apple stockholders in this thread.

Who cares about poor people? Apple user would be special, noble, who has endless money, filling with joy with that shinny Apple log.

These disgusting poor folks should only buy Android, we Apple users doesn't want have anything to do with these people. /s

Considering that Apple is removing the iPhone mini, a 15% increase price for the regular iPhone 14 will be a steep increase of the lineup starting price

Apple has never been a charity, but this price rise will hurt

I really doubt we are going to see anything like a 15% price increase in North America on the regular iPhone 14. The increases are expected to be mostly (if not entirely) on the Pro and Pro Max, plus there will be a new Max model. The expected elimination of the cheaper mini plus increases on the upper level phones is what will drive the overall average increase.
