I've had an XDR for about a yer and a half now and feel that it is the right size. My secondary monitor is a 27" Thunderbolt and feels small.

The issue for me is I need a lot of monitors, multiple discreet and separate monitors. So right now I have 3 x 27". In the past I had 3 x 30" Cinema Displays and those barely fit my work area. I think 3 x 32" would just be too much. I could go down to 2 x 32" but I'd be less productive.

I just would really like a 27" with the specs of the XDR. I'd pay the same price for it.

To those that are complaining about the timeline - remember we have been in a global pandemic for 2 years. Supply chains amongst other things can delay things. No one is immune.

Still think an iMac Pro is coming based on Ross Young's 27" 5K ProMotion Mini-LED panel rumor, but I now firmly believe it will be the Apple silicon version of the Intel model - M1 Max and M1 Ultra only, high-performance cooling, lots of TB4 and USB-A ports and a price tag starting at $4000-5000.

Sometimes what looks like blooming actually isn't, especially when it comes to blooming around letters. It's not light bleeding from the backlight but a design decision to add a halo effect to the font. Blooming on OLED displays is impossible by the way.
Yeah, I'm aware that blooming isn't possible on OLED since each pixel is individually controlled without a backlight, but what I see on OLED and blooming on LCD/mini-LED looks identical. To me, blacks on mini-LED are just as deep. I see halos on both types, so to me, mini-LED is just as good as OLED. And because mini-LED is a lot brighter than OLED, my personal preference is towards mini-LED. Sacrilege, I know, but that's what my old eyes see.

Everyone sees differently. For me, I also cannot tell the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz, or 240Hz for that matter. Oddly, I can see the difference between 30Hz and 60Hz. 30Hz looks dull and muddy while 60Hz looks far more vibrant. Younger people can quite often see the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz. I envy those who can.

Obviously I don't know what your eyes see. I'm just saying that everyone will sometimes see what looks like blooming on both LCD and OLED displays, but it's not blooming. It's an intentional effect.
