The fact that a lot of the target demographic is facing quite high inflation and some places might even be on the brink of a recession probably doesn’t help.
They do respond. That’s why it’s getting more expensive in EUR and GBP.
I know they respond, always have, always will.... unfortunately some people on here think it's just Apple being greedy.
I laughed at appliances at first… but then on further consideration, that’s exactly what iPhones are now: normal ho-hum “get the job done” commodities that are less and less “special” like they were in the 2000’s/2010’s.Nice thing is I can always sell this off and go back to Android. You can get a heck of a nice Android phone on the used market for a paltry $200. These are becoming appliances.
Never really understood this line either. I would make sense if they stopped selling last years model, but since they keep selling them I don't really see the point....
The whole iPhone lineup is getting so confusing IMO with this pro/non pro bs. Just have one model in different sizes an be done with it. Thank you bye...
also... Just make a mini pro and I'm sure that will sell like hot cakes...
Errr... I guess I should point out that the performance cores of the A16 seem to be identical or near identical to the A15 performance cores, albeit with a small clock speed boost. The bigger change is the image processor, but that is driven by the needs of the new camera system, etc. It's almost insulting that they would dare recycle last years chip. The customer isn't as ignorant as they thought and that did not go unnoticed.
True. But regardless, people are blaming them for the price rise instead of what’s happening to currencies. That’s the point I’m making. Then we can expect Apple to drop prices in 6 months when these currencies stabilize, right? So why buy now?

Yeah, the budget buyers aren't as inclined to buy on launch day. XR was the tortoise that won the race. For the same reason I think the Plus will be #1 seller this coming year, although it might be a close race with the 14 non-Pro.Very surprised about the 14 plus but if I remember didn't the XR have a lacklustre start and then end up being the best selling phone that year?
Not surprised about the smaller 14. Its basically the same as the 13. I actually think the 14 is the biggest rip off product in Apples line up. If they were smart they would have dropped the 13 from their lineup.
Samsung makes the majority of the OLed panels in iPhones.I am with IPhone for a number of reasons, but I'll tell you -- we bought my wife a used Samsung Quantum 2 (Which is a Korean-named A82, identically). That thing has a screen that rivals the 13Pro models, is 120hz, has OK battery life, and decent speakers. You won't be gaming cutting-edge games with it, and don't get it wet, but the CPU was flagship a few years ago. The price? $185, and the thing was barely used at all. To watch content, my daughter puts her IPhone away and watches on mom's $185 Android.
