… or the proscope technology is just now mature enough to mass produce for the millions of devices Apple has to make at once. No other phone company has to make 100 million devices at once. IF a technology is too new it can't be used at such a large volume until it is matured.

Do Apple have to be so late to the game with everything? Periscope lens in late 2023? I guess they hang on to older, cheaper tech for longer to increase profits. Samsung will be close to it's 4rd generation of periscope by then.

That’s exactly it. Apple wants to maintain high profit margins so that means no experimental tech unless they scale it without too much redundancy
