THIS!

You guys are delusional if you think Apple will bring back the original Magsafe. That would be a marketing disaster! They just introduced a new Magsafe concept aka "the puck". As much as I dislike it, it will not go away soon unfortunately.

What they'll do is add the possibility to charge by puck attached to the screen, as the power it can deliver is (almost) enough to drive the entire Macbook. On top of that you'll have your USB-C for charging "normally".
I was wrong, and I'm very glad I was. Magsafe is/was one of the best features of the old MacBooks. Also very glad the puck is not used to charge the laptops. I guess magsafe just means magnetic and safe ;)

Unfortunately however I was not entirely wrong : the new magsafe is incompatible with the old, giving us another charging standard to adopt to, and rendering all my old power bricks obsolete for good.

I think becasue the last Magsafe is now over 3 years old an adapter is unlikely. Would be nice as a way to reuse power bricks I have laying around.

Notch notch notch...

Wrapping the menu bar around the camera 'notch' was the optimum way to hide those cameras and other sensors. I like it...
Agree.
I don’t get the uproar. No one is losing screen real-estate. Apple pushed the screen up around the camera where mostly static content will reside (menu bar). Makes perfect sense as you now have a 16:10 screen without a menu bar using up space.

I don’t have a problem with it if that’s what you’re implying. I was just pointing out that months ago Kuo predicted everything but the notch. The notch on a landscape device is acceptable to me; the price of this beast (especially for a modest bump in storage space), however, is a different story.

So another miss, and a score for Apple keeping it kinda quiet. What's that? I can barely hear you over the leaks from schematics and such before the launch. How could he miss it, everyone else seemed to know about it.

I like the idea. You get a bonus buying one, a notch that's not really a notch. Well, it doesn't 'steal' display from the screen.
